Digital Transformation and the Future of 5G Countries that successfully implement digital transformation will emerge as the leaders of the future. Those that fail to keep pace will fall behind in the global race. As we talk about technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, 5G stands at the core of this infrastructure. We’ve conducted a brief analysis of what 5G brings, what it entails, and the associated risks. I hope you find this insight valuable. Considering that Turkey will transition to 5G in April 2026, it’s important to recognize that this delayed adoption also offers certain advantages. By analyzing the challenges other countries faced during their 5G rollout—and how they resolved them, or why some failed to do so—we can learn valuable lessons. For instance, the European experience of insufficient base station deployment in rural areas, leading to a growing digital divide and unequal income distribution, or China’s success in public-private collaboration for cybersecurity, provide us with crucial insights. Evaluating both success stories and challenges is essential. When addressing the issue of employment in Turkey, it is essential to create a holistic ecosystem where all elements are interconnected, and to implement various measures simultaneously across different sectors and fields. In this context, addressing everything from the education system to women’s employment, from the informal economy to youth unemployment, is crucial. The solution lies not only in diagnosing these problems but also in having qualified and visionary personnel in governance and implementing stable, long-term strategies. It’s also important to study global success stories and adapt them to our own conditions. However, changing the existing system and making this change permanent is key. Recently, I watched a talk by Aydin Senkut, founder of Felicis Ventures, called “Don’t Let People Put You in a Box” — and I believe it’s a masterclass every early-stage investor, especially those focused on pre-seed and seed, should watch. While at first glance it seems like a motivational speech about personal grit (and it is!), if you listen carefully, Senkut drops pure gold about how to find, screen, and invest in exceptional startups — and why mindset and market fit matter as much as metrics. 1️⃣ Start with the Market — Everything else can be great, but if the market’s not big or growing, it won’t matter. 2️⃣ 10x or Bust — The product needs to be 10x better, faster, or cheaper (ideally all three). 3️⃣ Bet on Resilience — Founders who turn rejection into jet fuel always stand out. 4️⃣ Speed & Focus Beat Brilliance — Small wins, compounding fast > scattered genius. 5️⃣ Great Storytellers Win — If they can’t inspire, they won’t recruit or sell. It was a fabulous conversation at the LSX conference on Tuesday on the panel moderated by John Lynn! I was joined by Morten Sogaard, Ozlem Arisoy, PhD and Emre Ozcan, to discuss the #AI transformation happening in #pharma. I shared some #data collected from our survey of PharmStars' "Pharma Innovation Leader" community regarding AI adoption. Here is what they said: 🎯 50% of pharma report they have fully adopted #GenAI and 43% are planning on it 🎯 When it comes to adopting #AgenticAI, it will take: ⏳ 6-12 months for 60% of the pharmas ⏳ 1-2 years for 25% of the pharmas ⏳ 2-4 years for 17% of the pharmas 🎯 The top pharma use cases were #1 Real time data analysis during clinical trials (83%) #2 Personalized patient monitoring (75%) #3 Clinical trial simulation (67%) 👎 But there are some barriers to AI adoption in pharma, the top 4 reported are: X data security and privacy X interpretation of decisions X unintended consequences X ethical concerns, including bias But cost and lack of emotional intelligence were ranked very low as a concern!😃 Thanks, LSX and Nadia Moodie, for giving me an opportunity to share these important learnings with the #pharmatech community!

It was a pleasure to attend startups.watch’s quarterly Turkish startup ecosystem event at İTÜ ARI Teknokent - Magnet and present Revo Capital's investment strategy with the launch of our Fund III, which will support over 25 Turkish and Turkish diaspora startups from pre-seed to Series A stages over the next five years—reaffirming our commitment to Türkiye’s thriving startup landscape. Over the past four years, more than 1,450 startups in Türkiye have secured seed funding, yet only 130 advanced to Series A —an indication that the ecosystem is at a critical juncture. Looking ahead, we anticipate a surge in Series A and B funding rounds with continued international investor interest in Türkiye. At Revo Capital, we will continue to invest in globally-minded founders who maintain critical R&D operations in Türkiye—an approach that will strengthen technology exports, attract foreign investment, and create new job opportunities as these companies expand regionally and globally.
