Rachel Truair shared thisHuman on the hook > Human in the loop 🎣 That was the gem Elizabeth Maxson Martinet surfaced during her lighting round on #ThePrompt. We can hand more and more execution to AI. We can give agents rules, guardrails, and room to run. But when something goes wrong, accountability doesn’t transfer to the machine. AI can own more of the work. Leadership still owns the outcome. https://lnkd.in/gaim6us9 #theprompt

Rachel Truair shared thisOne of the smartest voices in the business Elizabeth Maxson Martinet sat down with me on #ThePrompt to talk about trust, judgement and experience in the age of AI. 🎙️Rachel Truair shared thisAI can make you productive before it makes you experienced. Which raises a harder question: How do you know when AI gets it wrong? In the latest episode of The Prompt, Contentful CMO Elizabeth Maxson Martinet joins Rachel to explore what happens when AI takes on the entry-level work that has traditionally helped people build judgment, instinct, and expertise. Because when the early work disappears, the question isn’t just what happens to junior roles. It’s where the next generation of experts comes from. Rachel Truair shared thisThe shift from generative AI to agentic AI is where things get really ✨ fun ✨ for marketers. It’s one thing for AI to help write the campaign. It’s another for it to understand the audience, orchestrate the channels, catch what’s broken, and keep execution moving, with humans still making the calls that matter. That’s the bet Demandbase is making on Mojo: less time operating the machinery, more time on strategy, creativity and customers. Great piece on what that shift could look like: https://lnkd.in/gRS5G4_DIs Mojo the Start of a New Agentic Era in B2B Marketing? | B2Bdaily.comIs Mojo the Start of a New Agentic Era in B2B Marketing? | B2Bdaily.com

Rachel Truair shared thisIntent data is table stakes now. Which is exactly why it's stopped being the only thing that separates teams. Every serious ABM team has the signals. The ones pulling ahead are better at the layer on top: which accounts actually deserve the attention, what the right play is, and when to let a human overrule the model. On Thursday I'm joining Robert Norum and Judit Szabo for an hour on where that edge sits, and what it means for ABM teams over the next 18 months. Rachel Truair liked thisMy favorite event of the year was last week: the Empowered CXO Summit, where 80 badass GTM leaders get together for unfiltered conversations about navigating work, life, leadership, and careers (and yes, AI was a topic this year), along with equally important ones about skincare, sleep, and hormones. Grateful that Amanda Kahlow acted on the brilliant idea she had several years go after a yoga class to create this community, and to Latané Conant Saima Rashid and now Kelly Hopping for keeping that torch on fire as it's passed. Could have said lit, but "on fire" fits this group better. It's humbling to realize how these relationships have endured through the highs and lows of my career. These women show up consistently and give generously, asking nothing in return, only that we all continue the cycle of paying it forward. The advice, encouragement, and tough love have been invaluable, and the cautionary tales just as instructive. I've been on the receiving end more times than I can count. Sitting with Maria Pergolino one year, I groaned about org design, and she promptly volunteered a framework she'd built. Another year, as we were wish-listing how attribution tools should work, Mada Seghete invited me to be an early design partner for what she was building at Upside. Four years later, it is now my can't-live-without-it MarTech tool! And Carilu Dietrich has educated many of us over the years in her no-holds-barred sessions on negotiating compensation, showing us what to ask for and how to ask for it. There are countless examples of this generosity compounding. This year, Liza Adams and Sydney Sloan reminded us that we have the power and the responsibility to act beyond the room: to use our seats at the table for good and be the voices for those who aren't there, and to keep advocating for diversity and inclusion. Just because it's no longer required doesn't make it optional. On a lighter note, there were also some very practical takeaways, like the scarf wizardry demonstrated Gretchen Eischen and Christine Heckart 🪄 Many highlights from this year, but the top one for me personally was the number of women who are now 𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 🫐💪 Claire Couch EJ Oelling Laura Kaiden Alexa Obermeyer you have outdone yourselves, again. Awesome programming, creative activities, gorgeous venue (and weather), endless swag, and amazing healthy food (and blueberries). No detail overlooked (the little figurines made from potatoes that first night? COME ON!) This role required critical thinking, impartiality, and leadership to ensure the Commission remained unified in its mission. It also tapped into individual skills among Commissioners.
My work on the Commission included the development of the Commission's marketing plan, as well as creating the Commission's website: http://www.austinredistricting.org
The ICRC made history as the first citizen-initiated, independent entity to establish the boundaries of the 10 new Austin City Council districts. Responsibilities included:
- Conducting duties with integrity and fairness;
- Conducting an open and transparent process to enable full public consideration of and comment on the drawing of district lines to include an open hearing process;
- Drawing district lines in accordance with specific redistricting criteria in the Charter;
- Adopting a final redistricting plan and certifying the plan to the Austin City Council; and
- Issuing a report that explains the basis on which the Commission made its decisions.

When Hootsuite wanted to reduce years of Marketo complexity ahead of a platform consolidation, they didn’t rebuild — they reimagined. Together, our teams stripped out legacy programs, standardised automation, and optimised workflows. The result: → 90% reduction in Marketo Programs → 80% fewer total assets → 800+ fields cleaned & catalogued Proof that you don’t need a costly migration to modernise. You just need clarity, process, and the right partnership. How much of your marketing tech debt is actually self-inflicted? #Marketo #B2BMarketing #RevenueAcceleration

Most intent programs fail, not because of data gaps, but because of execution gaps. Intent adoption is widespread, yet maturity remains low when signals are treated as activity instead of buying intelligence. High-performing GTM teams validate intent against ICP fit, map it to buying stages, and activate it across ABM, sales, and paid channels. When intent is operationalized, outreach becomes contextual, ABM becomes propensity-led, and pipeline growth becomes predictable. Intent maturity isn’t about more data! It’s about better decisions. Let’s connect. #IDBSGlobal #IntentData #DemandGeneration #GTMStrategy #ABM #RevOps #B2BMarketing #RevenueGrowth

Most B2B revenue teams believe that adding more tools to their GTM stack automatically scales revenue—until they realize they’ve built a $15K/month digital Frankenstein monster. They stack single-purpose apps for scraping, enrichment, intent monitoring, sequencing, and conversation intelligence, forcing their reps to manually copy-paste data between a dozen disconnected dashboards. The result? Severe software bloat, brittle data pipelines, massive context-switching tax, and reps spending 70% of their week playing administrator instead of closing pipeline. At Electric Octopus 🐙, we evaluate revenue tech stacks not by how many trendy logos are mapped on an architecture slide, but by how seamlessly data flows through a centralized command layer. By replacing point-solution sprawl with a unified protocol layer and background automation, you don't need a bloated 20-tool stack—you need a lean, interconnected data pipeline that works autonomously. ❌ What to Stop Doing vs. ✅ What to Start Doing ❌ Stop: Buying isolated point solutions for every micro-task in your sales workflow and leaving reps to bridge the gaps manually. ✅ Start: Consolidating execution around a central RevOps data lake that feeds verified context directly to reps and automated tools. ❌ Stop: Letting your GTM architecture grow organically through ad-hoc requests, creating massive technical debt and API rate-limit bottlenecks. ✅ Start: Enforcing a unified data schema across every tier of your GTM stack (Data → Enrichment → Engagement → Orchestration). ❌ Stop: Paying heavy per-seat licensing fees for complex enterprise software suites when your team only uses 10% of their functionality. ✅ Start: Deploying lean, API-first integrations that execute specific actions automatically without human UI navigation. The GTM Stack Mapping Decision Tree If your stack consists of 15+ disconnected point solutions linked by manual CSV uploads → Use Fragmented SaaS Sprawl: Expect high operational drag, stale CRM data, rep burnout, and inflated software overhead. If you build basic, point-to-point Zapier webhooks without centralized state management → Use Brittle Automation: Expect frequent sync breaks, missing logs, and constant engineering maintenance. If you deploy a standardized RevOps infrastructure with centralized data orchestration → Use Electric Octopus Architecture: Expect drastic software cost savings, pristine data hygiene, and maximum rep selling capacity. System > Headcount. Clarity > Creativity. Framework > Features. Does your GTM stack map look like a clean, automated engine, or a chaotic web of disconnected tools? Let’s discuss in the comments below. #RevOps #GTMStrategy #SalesEngineering #TechStack #ElectricOctopus

GTM leaders face a seemingly impossible challenge: Accelerate growth and drive efficiency to reduce costs while navigating unprecedented complexity and change. Even though we are all deep in FY26 planning, it bears resurfacing a great blog post from Poggio enterprise sales exec Mike Montour on why traditional GTM planning is failing B2B revenue teams...and what you can do right now to course correct and position your entire GTM for a successful 2026. As Mike notes, "The revenue leaders whose organizations will win will be those who transform their GTM planning and execution from legacy approaches to become continuous and intelligent. Instead of relying on backward-looking data and making guesses about the future of an account, they are enabling modern GTM orchestration with agentic transformation at scale informed by deep, real-time intelligence on their customers." "Because in an era where everyone has access to the same prospects, victory will go to those who understand their customers the best, act on that understanding the fastest, and do so with the greatest relevance in demonstrating how their solutions uniquely solve each customer’s specific priorities and challenges." Here here. (Link in comments below ⤵️ )

Account-based Marketing list always looks great on paper… until half the names bounce. Some GTM teams build an ABM list once every week… and assume it stays valid forever. But the truth? Your accounts are changing faster than your data. New execs join. Budgets shift. Teams expand or churn. And your pipeline ends up chasing ghosts. Here’s the pattern we see: Static ABM = lag. Your CRM shows the world as it looked last quarter. Dynamic ABM = advantage. Your strategy updates in real time, as markets and teams evolve. That’s exactly what Persana’s Account Orchestration delivers: ⚡ Continuous tracking of org changes, funding, and team growth ⚡ Live detection of tech swaps and company expansions ⚡ Signals that flow directly into your campaigns and sequences No manual refreshes. No “who’s still here?” moments. Just accounts that evolve as your market moves. With Persana, your ABM can finally act like a living ecosystem.

Heading to HubSpot’s UNBOUND conference, back in Boston near Fenway, so yes… I’m going to force a baseball analogy into this post. What I’m most interested in seeing is how HubSpot continues to put AI into the actual customer journey not just as a feature, but as part of how people work. At Symphonic Distribution, we’re thinking about AI from a different angle: the creator journey. How do we use it to help independent artists, while still being thoughtful about rights, transparency, trust, and the infrastructure behind the music? Both are leaning into AI, but the interesting part is how they’re putting it to work without losing sight of the people the technology is supposed to serve. Different industries, but a pretty similar challenge. Baseball didn’t replace the players when analytics took over. It gave them better information to work with. That’s the part I’m most excited to see more of at UNBOUND.

79% of B2B SaaS CMOs say brand recognition influences their vendor shortlist. In our Wynter study of 100 CMOs at $50M+ companies, 45% called brand fame a major factor in their buying decisions. Still, the first step isn’t Google. 72% start by asking peers in private communities. Word of mouth leads the shortlist. If you're not a household name, here's how you break in: • Get peer-recommended. Be active where your buyers hang out. Happy customers in Slack groups put you on the radar faster than ads. • Clear compliance early. Security checks are non-negotiable. Have your documentation ready. • Let them try it. 38% said unknown vendors need an easy trial. Show the real product, not just a demo video. • Solve what big players ignore. Find the gaps and innovate there. • Prove ROI fast. Lower pricing won't win alone, but combined with clear outcomes, it's a tiebreaker. • De-risk the decision. Prove you understand their problems and can solve them. Big brands start ahead but smaller players catch up through peer recommendations and delivering results. Competitive intelligence is moving from quarterly research to always-on GTM infrastructure. Not because teams need more dashboards. Because pricing pages change faster, docs reveal product direction earlier, review sites surface objections publicly, and sales teams need current talk tracks. The winners will not be the teams watching the most competitors. They will be the teams that turn the right public signals into decisions quickly. That is the lane we are building toward with Clura. #CompetitiveIntelligence #GTM #ProductMarketing
