Rebecca Glashow shared thisLast week we celebrated the eleventh annual Through Her Lens: The Tribeca CHANEL Women’s Filmmaker Program. Over the course of three days, 10 emerging women and non-binary filmmakers learned from some of the most accomplished women in our industry, culminating in a pitch before Meg Ryan, Halle Berry, Regina King, Autumn Durald Arkapaw, and Ella Rubin. At a time when women still face significant barriers to access and opportunity in our industry, Through Her Lens creates meaningful pathways for the next generation of filmmakers. Congratulations to our 2026 class, and to Gem Little and Kseniya Yorsh, who received full financing to produce their short film “Cowards” with support from Tribeca Studios. I’m deeply grateful to CHANEL for 11 years of building this program with us. Together, we have championed more than 100 women and non-binary filmmakers and helped bring 50 new stories to the screen. I can’t wait to see what this extraordinary group does next! Rebecca Glashow shared thisYesterday, I had the privilege of introducing the premiere of “TRIBECA 25,” the new documentary from Tribeca Studios and director Matt Tyrnauer. Thank you to Leah Wyar and our partners at People Inc. for bringing us together to share this film. “TRIBECA 25” tells the story of the Tribeca Festival, founded by Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, as New York began the long process of healing and rebuilding. As I reflect back on my own experience in New York City that day, the fear, grief and sadness remain palpable all these years later. It makes me especially proud to be part of Tribeca Enterprises, knowing firsthand what it meant to have the Festival bring me, and so many back downtown. Over the past twenty-five years, Jane, Bob and so many dedicated employees and friends have worked to revitalize Lower Manhattan, create new memories and celebrate creativity and storytelling, leaving a lasting impact on this city. I’m honored to carry forward the great work of an institution so deeply rooted in community, storytelling and resilience. Matt captures that history with extraordinary care, and our executive producer, Berry Welsh, brought tremendous passion and commitment to bringing our story to the screen. Thank you. “TRIBECA 25” is now streaming on Netflix. Read more from PEOPLE Magazine | PEOPLE.com and watch the trailer here: https://lnkd.in/gAt8Z7RQ

Rebecca Glashow shared thisWhat an incredible 25th Anniversary Tribeca Festival and my first since joining as CEO earlier this year. Over the past two weeks, we welcomed hundreds of films and projects, showcasing bold voices across film, television, podcasts, games, and brand storytelling. From unforgettable premieres and performances to thought-provoking conversations and standout partner activations, Tribeca once again transformed New York into a hub for once-in-a-lifetime experiences and a celebration of storytelling in all its forms. We closed it all out with a truly iconic evening with Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Patti Smith, and Alicia Keys. Live from BMCC, Bono presented Bruce Springsteen with the Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award, before joining Springsteen and Patti Smith for a rousing performance of “People Have The Power.” There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Alicia Keys then took the stage to premiere Alicia Keys: Girl From Hell's Kitchen, the new documentary from Tribeca alum One9, before heading to Capitale for an unforgettable live performance. Fresh off the Knicks' historic win, the energy in the room reached another level when she launched into "Empire State of Mind"—a fitting finale to an extraordinary festival. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this incredible journey. Until next year.

Rebecca Glashow shared thisLast night, I was beyond thrilled to watch the incomparable Mumford & Sons and visionary director Sam Jones premiere “Mumford & Sons: The House Band” at the 2026 Tribeca Festival. The film follows the band's one-of-a-kind train tour with collaborators like Noah Kahan, Darius Rucker, and Maggie Rogers, capturing the joy, spontaneity, and creative energy that emerge when artists come together. After the premiere, in true Tribeca fashion, the audience was treated to a special acoustic performance by Mumford & Sons. What stayed with me most was the sense of community and connection woven throughout both the film and the performance. That shared, in-person experience is what Tribeca is all about—bringing people together to immerse themselves in storytelling, music, and one another.

Rebecca Glashow shared thisI had so much fun speaking with Scarlett Newman for the Cut's How I Get It Done column! Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gnxiFECZ Heading into my first Tribeca Festival as CEO, it was a great opportunity to reflect on the experiences, relationships, and values that have shaped my leadership journey and brought me into this new role. Last night marked another special milestone on my Tribeca journey — I had the pleasure of introducing Sara Bareilles: Good Grief filmmaker Josh Alexander, producer Daniel Chalfen, and Sara Bareilles herself. Sara joined us for a once-in-a-lifetime evening at The Beacon, culminating in a stirring live performance of songs from her new album. It was truly inspiring to be in a room full of so many people, all moved by the power of music, including my youngest daughter who was blown away by the magical evening. I’m so grateful to be part of such a passionate and deeply committed organization, and I can’t wait to see what else the next 9 days have in store!

Rebecca Glashow shared thisWhat an incredible kickoff to the 2026 Tribeca Festival, celebrating 25 years of Tribeca! Last night at The Beacon, Questlove presented the world premiere of Earth, Wind & Fire (To Be Celestial VS That’s the Weight of the World), followed by an unforgettable performance from Earth, Wind & Fire and The Roots that had the entire room buzzing. I can’t imagine a better way to set the tone for the inspiring, action-packed 11 days ahead of us. Here’s to an incredible Festival filled with the creativity, connection, and sense of community that has defined Tribeca from the very beginning.

Rebecca Glashow shared thisLast night, we kicked off opening week of the 25th Tribeca Festival with a special reception at the Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) honoring Mike Bloomberg, whose leadership and support helped make the Festival possible in the aftermath of 9/11. It was a privilege to join Tribeca co-founders Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, alongside longtime Festival friend Whoopi Goldberg, in recognizing Mayor Bloomberg’s role in helping bring this bold vision to life. As we celebrate 25 years of Tribeca, it felt especially meaningful to begin by honoring one of the people who helped make it all possible. His belief in New York City—and in the power of arts and culture to strengthen communities—helped lay the foundation for the Festival we know today. Here's to the next 25 years of great storytelling, creativity, and community in New York City!

Rebecca Glashow reacted on thisRebecca Glashow reacted on thisToday I had the privilege of delivering the keynote address at the Royal Television Society London Convention, where Prime Video/Amazon MGM Studios was this year's Principal Sponsor. The theme was “United in Change: If Not Now, When?” The answer, of course, is now. I covered a lot of the exciting change we’re already seeing - including how young audiences are rewriting fandom, how AI is the next great shift in an industry defined by change, and how proud I am that Prime Video has invested over £5 billion in the UK - UK stories, UK talent in front and behind the camera, UK sport and UK studio infrastructure. Rebecca Glashow liked thisRebecca Glashow liked thisCommon Interest x SISTER It’s a big day as we announce our strategic partnership with SISTER Group, the BAFTA and Emmy-winning global entertainment studio co-founded by Elisabeth Murdoch and Jane Featherstone - and welcome SISTER Group as a minority shareholder in Common Interest. My friendship with the team at SISTER, and admiration for what they’ve created, has grown over the past couple of years. Founder-led, creatively fearless, built on real taste rather than trend-chasing, and behind some of the most outstanding, genre-breaking work of the last few years. As we’ve got to know one another, we’ve been struck by how like-minded we are, despite coming from different sides of the convergence between communications and entertainment. Both founder-led. Both pushing for a new kind of collective model. Both believing that the most impactful IP now behaves like a brand, and the most ambitious brands behave like entertainment businesses. Both striving for excellence in storytelling and craft across a creatively diverse range of outputs. And both excited, rather than daunted, by the structural shift underway across media, entertainment and marketing, and by the potential for a model built for that future, rather than adapting a legacy structure to it. Brand and entertainment are converging. This is what that convergence looks like in practice. Collectively, we bring together brand creativity, entertainment execution and access to world-class production talent — the pieces needed to build IP that can live, and earn, across film, TV, podcasts, live experiences and beyond. We’re already creating together, and the early ideas have been some of the most exciting I’ve worked on. A huge and warm welcome to Elisabeth Murdoch, Jane Featherstone, Lucinda Hicks, Chris Fry and all the team at SISTER Group. Rebecca Glashow liked thisRebecca Glashow liked thisI threw out my notes as I walked on stage to deliver my CEO keynote. It should have been a trainwreck. Instead, it was the best talk I’ve given in a long time. The night before Uscreen Connect London, I was on my laptop at 10pm in my hotel room adjusting slides and messaging. We had a small customer session the day before, and it inspired a few more tweaks to the speech. When I got on stage, I improvised about 80% of my keynote. I was riffing on conversations I had that morning with customers and based the message on the vibe I was getting from the audience. Most CEOs would never go on stage without vetted, prepared remarks, but I learned that’s not what the audience wants at all. Here’s what your audience actually wants: To feel seen and to be given some perspective. When I came up with analogies and messages on the fly based on the audience feedback, they landed well. The response was incredibly positive. I used to think that keynotes were all about polished notes and dazzling visuals, but your audience doesn’t want to feel like they’re part of your rehearsal. They want to feel like they’re part of the conversation. What’s the best keynote you’ve ever heard?

A music streaming service is only as trustworthy as the music and content it accepts. IFPI just launched the Streaming Integrity Initiative, with support from Sony, Universal, Warner, Merlin, and a pretty broad group of music distributors. The commitments are: verify customers and rights, screen uploads for fraud and AI-related risks, act against repeat offenders, and share intelligence where possible. What I like about this is that it recognizes streaming fraud as an ecosystem problem. One distributor can’t solve it. Neither can one label or streaming service. Everyone who touches the content has to do their part. But this is hard to orchestrate. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how you get companies with different interests to work toward a shared outcome. Usually it starts with making the value clear for each player, then building standards people can actually follow. Is a voluntary industry standard enough, or will consistent enforcement eventually require something stronger? #MusicIndustry #MusicStreaming #MusicTech IFPI https://lnkd.in/gBEtMJtq

Must-read analysis by Joseph Singer (producer in the ‘90s, former Universal exec, now does M&A) that breaks down why, exactly, any acquisition of WBD would be objectively terrible for everyone except Zaslav & Co. I’ve not seen this level of detail before, which includes all the global entities that could potentially block it. And this also caught me: “There is an uncomfortable truth in this business that rarely gets said out loud: The company that controls distribution ultimately controls the market.” Full transparency: Even as I write about all the paths arising for independents to take greater control over their distribution, I still wonder how many will do this. It’s real and hard work that can feel like a nonentity against the prospect of a purpose-built company taking the lead. And then I read something like that and it snaps into focus. The work may be hard, but the value is real. Anyway, strong recommend. https://lnkd.in/gCKEyyNv
