Rick Horwitch shared thisTime flies. Congratulations on this milestone. The future is bright. To paraphrase the very quotable Shek - you have so many layers yet to peel back and experience.Rick Horwitch shared thisToday marks 5 years at DreamWorks. 5️⃣🎣🌙 Even before starting, I had always heard about the culture at DreamWorks. Yes, the free food and parties. But the overall *vibe* of the studio is special and different. I got here in the middle of a pandemic, feeling burnt out and unsupported in my work. Today, I am as energized, motivated, and genuinely happy to come in as I was on day 1. There have been a few moments that I can point back to and say, without a doubt, my life would be different if that thing didn’t happen. Coming to DreamWorks is one of those moments. Professionally, I’ve been able to grow, lead a team, make an impact, and see my name in the credits of two movies. I’ve worked with incredible co-workers, leaders, mentors, partners, and talent. I have been supported and shown confidence in my work by leadership from across the studio. From the growth of Gabby’s Dollhouse to the critical successes of Puss In Boots, The Wild Robot, and Forgotten Island, and so much more in-between, there has been so much to be proud of over the past 5 years. Beyond happy to have played a small part in it and excited for everything coming up! Tayo Na!

Rick Horwitch reposted thisRick Horwitch reposted thisIndia released some transformative agenda; the 1st being ‘Roadmap for Green Transition of MSMEs’ and just mandated 5% recycled content in construction materials like cement, wood, plastic, and glass. That requirement climbs to 25% by 2030. We joined the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF2026) in Gandhinagar to talk about what that shift actually requires. Rakesh Vazirani shared our experiences and recommendations during the "MSME Climate Transition" roundtable, on the role standards and certifications play in helping small and medium enterprises decarbonize. We also contributed during the workshop "From Rubble to Resilience" on how standards for embodied carbon can strengthen sustainability in building and construction, directly relevant to India's new recycled-content law. The forum's takeaway matched what we're seeing with clients: circularity has moved from an environmental goal to an economic and resilience necessity. The gap isn't just downstream waste management. It's funding for upstream design and midstream infrastructure. Four places industry can act now: - Map the value chain for material flow and carbon efficiency - Build eco-design capacity for longevity and repair - Engage institutions on physical and digital infrastructure, including Digital Product Passports - Align metrics (embodied carbon, resource efficiency, durability) to green finance Watch the replay: https://lnkd.in/gpfBBTud #WCEF2026 #CircularEconomy

Rick Horwitch reposted thisThis week, at the Musée National de la Marine in Paris, we held Bureau Veritas' 2026 Capital Markets Day. At the midpoint of our LEAP | 28 strategy, we confirmed our ambition and shared the progress achieved. The structural trends supporting our markets remain strong. Technology, energy, supply chain reconfiguration and sovereignty are increasing the need for independent assurance. To capture these opportunities, we have actively rotated our portfolio towards higher-growth, higher-complexity and higher-margin markets. At the same time, we have established a more scalable multi-specialist operating model, strengthened our performance programs and continued to invest in the expertise of our people. Now, we are ready to scale and amplify. AI will be a major accelerator of this next phase. It is expanding markets that we already serve, including data centers, semiconductors, energy and critical infrastructure. It is transforming how we deliver trust by connecting our experts, data and systems. And it is creating new assurance needs as organizations seek to manage AI-related risk, governance and compliance. Our ambition is clear: to generate €1 billion in revenue from AI-related markets and AI-augmented services by 2030. None of the progress achieved so far would have been possible without our colleagues around the world. Their expertise, engagement and commitment are the foundation of our performance and will be essential as we enter this next phase. #ShapingAWorldofTrust Photo credit: Ludovic Guilmot

Textile EPR is here, and it will reshape many sectors. From design and data to end-of-life management, Textile Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) will fundamentally change how apparel, footwear and home textile brands operate. New EU rules mean textiles are now a priority waste stream, with mandatory EPR requirements and clearer expectations on collection, treatment and circular design. Key milestones are already on the horizon: 📅 June 2027 - National laws in place 📅 April 2028 - Textile EPR fully operational across the EU For brands, this means data readiness, traceability and early planning will be critical. Swipe through the carousel to see: ➡️ Why textile EPR is accelerating ➡️ Key regulatory milestones ➡️ Practical steps brands should take now

Reconomy's latest podcast discussion on circular textiles raised some big questions for brands and retailers: 👕 how will textile EPR affect costs, reporting and compliance responsibilities? 👕 how do businesses prepare when policy is still evolving? 👕 what role will ESPR and Digital Product Passports play in the bigger picture? The discussion highlighted that textile policy is moving forward, but businesses also need to think about infrastructure, data and operational readiness. That is why early visibility matters. At Valpak, we support businesses with: • textile EPR impact assessments to understand likely exposure and business impact • textile horizon scanning to track developments and stay ahead of change • wider support on ESPR and Digital Product Passports to help turn regulation into practical action If textile EPR is already on your radar, now is the time to start assessing what it could mean for your organisation. 👉 Visit our website to find out more about our textile services: https://okt.to/MtPFrJ

Shifting the focus toward responsible textile production systems on the global stage 🌏 Our Chief Impact Officer, Beth Jensen, was featured in a recent Forbes article examining how sustainability is influencing material choices in sportswear. With the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics shining a spotlight on sportswear on the global stage, Beth shared her insights on how credible data, robust material reporting, and science-based decision-making can help shift the fashion industry toward more responsible practices. Moments like this matter not because of visibility alone, but because they reflect a broader shift. Materials are increasingly understood as foundational to climate action, resilience, and credibility across the textile value chain. As sustainability becomes part of mainstream cultural conversations, the focus must remain on measurable impact, transparent data, and collective progress. Visibility can open the door, and systems change is what ultimately moves the industry forward. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gT68DpUE

Cotton traceability is becoming a regulatory expectation, but proving origin remains difficult in practice. The EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) introduces Digital Product Passports and signals a move towards more robust, verifiable supply chain data. While fibre-level origin disclosure for textiles is not yet mandatory, the direction of travel is clear. Cotton supply chains are fragmented, cotton is routinely blended during spinning, and documentation alone is often insufficient. That is why brands are increasingly turning to physical verification. Techniques such as Stable Isotope Ratio Analysis (SIRA) enable empirical assessment of cotton origin by analysing naturally occurring isotopic patterns in the fibre. Eurofins Softlines & Hardlines supports brands with scientifically validated cotton origin verification.
