Eli Singer liked thisEli Singer liked thisמחשבות לסוף השבוע.

Eli Singer liked thisEli Singer liked thisThe Knicks won Game 1. Three wins from their first title since 1973. I'll skip the leadership metaphor. Here is what I actually built this week. I run Revenue and Operations at Akeyless. This week, I built an agentic deal-inspection system. Two agents review every Q2 opportunity, score it against MEDDPICC, and flag it red, yellow, or green the way I would in a live pipeline war room. Days to build, not quarters. It is not in my team's hands yet. It is helping me pressure-test the pipeline before I ask anyone else to trust it. What surprised me was not the technology. It was what made it work. The model did not improve my judgment. It scaled it. The sharper I could articulate what a healthy deal looks like, the better the agent got. The vaguer my thinking, the worse its output. The bottleneck is never the model. It is the clarity of the human behind it. AI is becoming a mirror. It reflects how clearly you think. It shows up everywhere. Customers do not buy AI; they buy a problem solved. Culture is the same: a slogan is easy, real culture is people making good calls when you are not in the room. The best teams, like the best systems, encode judgment and scale it. Same story with the Zoom background below. I did not describe colors or layout. My entire prompt: "You know my values, my philosophy, and that I am a lifelong Knicks fan. Combine them." One prompt, because the context already existed. The output was not powered by the model. It was powered by accumulated clarity. Culture compounds. Belief scales teams. Pipeline > Panic. Not Knicks ideas. Operating principles. The Knicks are just a good reminder of what happens when belief, preparation, and execution meet the moment. Knicks 1-0. Still building. #AgenticAI #AILeadership #RevenueOperations #Akeyless #Knicks

We use Cursor and mostly with Claude but now it's getting the full picture! The Problem: DataOne has 200+ repositories. Thousands of pipelines. 10+ teams. When something breaks or needs changing, finding the right code felt like archaeology. The Solution: I created an AI-powered Code Intelligence platform using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) that actually understands our codebase. Now the teams can ask: "How does customer data flow from ingestion to the analytics layer?" "What Spark transformations touch the billing schema?" "Show me all services that consume from the CDR topic" "I need to develop a new feature in the Lakehouse Bronze Layer for data retention" And get answers with actual code references - not hallucinations. The Impact for DataOne Teams: Data Engineers - Trace lineage across pipelines in seconds Platform/R&D Teams - Understand cross-service dependencies instantly QA - Know exactly what to test when code changes Architects - Validate that reality matches the design Operations - Debug production issues 10x faster The Technical Magic: Continuous indexing of all branches (master + releases) Indexing last 30 days commits code changes. Semantic search - find code by meaning, not just keywords RAG ensures the AI cites real code, not imagination Multi-repo awareness - understands the full DataOne ecosystem The Result: Onboarding time: 3 weeks → 1 week Code review context: 45 min → 5 min "Who knows about X?" questions: Eliminated The best developers aren't the ones who memorize everything - they're the ones who know how to find answers. Just made finding answers instant. PS don't forget to track the costs and the credits, if it's done correctly, it's cheap activity. for me it cost less than 3 dollars. #DataEngineering #AI #RAG #BigData #DevTools #Innovation #DataOne #Amdocs #AmdocsAmbassadors

To all my colleagues, my network, and beyond—whether you're starting a new job, returning to an old role, retiring, or searching for new opportunities, embrace this moment to reset. Show the world who you are and the value you bring. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and much success as you embark on your 2026 journey!

Eli Singer liked thisEli Singer liked thisAI is eating SaaS We just cancelled $32,000/year in SaaS subscriptions - Contentful and Twilio Segment - and replaced them with tools we built ourselves using Claude Code. For a small startup like GRID, this is real money. And the time invested? About two days for each replacement. These homegrown solutions are obviously not as feature-rich as what they replaced. They just do exactly what we need. The economics that drove the SaaS boom are inverting. Building software was expensive, so you bought standardized tools even if you used 20% of the features. Now? Custom solutions that fit your exact needs are a weekend project. I know some SaaS vendors are already seeing this in their churn numbers - but the wave has by no means hit yet - it's hardly begun to rise.

Eli Singer liked thisEli Singer liked thisהאנשים שהחליטו להמר עליי.

Worth watching: Charlie Marsh built Ruff, uv, and Ty — the tools that mass-fixed Python's worst pain points. Now he's grappling with what happens when agents start writing most of the code. In this episode, Charlie gets real about his team trusting his PRs less, the gnarly middle of coding with agents, and whether Python is even the right language for an agentic future. It's honest, a wee existential, and deeply relatable if you ship code for a living. https://lnkd.in/gDh-ZVXm

As companies race to implement more AI models, the need for clear data lineage is becoming critical. Customers I speak to need automated metadata ingestion, which Collate and dbt deliver, along with test case integration and cross-source lineage. See it in action here (9 minute video)
