Zac Wilbur liked thisZac Wilbur liked thisThere are conferences you leave with pages of notes. Then there are conferences you leave believing an entire industry is evolving. This week at the Club Management Association of America Club Wellness Summit in Scottsdale was the latter. I had the privilege of sharing ideas on aligning vision and strategy to deliver premium wellness experiences, but I learned just as much from the conversations with general managers, wellness directors, fitness professionals, and industry partners who are all asking an important question: How do we create clubs that genuinely improve the lives of our members? The answer isn't simply adding another piece of equipment or introducing the latest wellness trend. Wellness is becoming one of the defining pillars of the modern private club experience. The clubs leading this movement aren't asking, "What wellness amenities should we add?" They're asking, "How do we create a culture where health, vitality, connection, and longevity become part of everyday member life?" When that becomes the conversation, wellness begins influencing master planning, capital investment, staffing, programming, food and beverage, recovery, recreation, and ultimately the member experience itself. Private clubs have a remarkable opportunity. They are among the few places where people choose to spend meaningful time throughout every stage of life. That gives clubs the ability to foster movement, friendships, purpose, lifelong learning, and healthier aging in ways few other organizations can. I left Desert Mountain Club encouraged by the leaders who are willing to think beyond today's expectations and build clubs that will serve members for decades to come. #CarpeDM Desert Mountain Club Cheers to everyone who shared ideas, challenged perspectives, and continues to champion wellness as a strategic priority.
