Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area. As an Associate Product Manager, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from ideation to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You will break down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development and measurable impact.


Job Responsibilities

  • Drive product initiatives from concept to launch across Whova’s web and mobile platforms.
  • Translate product strategy into clear requirements, user stories, specifications, workflows, and wireframes.
  • Work closely with engineering, user researcher, product analysts, design, QA, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality product features.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to deeply understand user needs.
  • Define product success metrics, monitor instrumentation, and iterate based on data and user feedback.
  • Participate in A/B testing, user studies, and usability validation to improve product experience.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales to support go-to-market strategies and effectively communicate product value.
  • Continuously improve internal product processes and contribute ideas to strengthen Whova’s product culture.


Qualifications

  • A BS degree with 1-3 years of full time experience in software industry, or a MS/MBA degree in Cognitive science, informatics, computer science, human computer interaction or related fields.
  • “Can-do” attitude, high energy, and ownership mindset.
  • Prior experience in product management, user research, product designer for real world software products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience writing technical specifications and working closely with Engineering, QA, and Design.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
  • Self-starter who proactively seeks solutions and learns quickly.
  • Ability to connect product decisions to business goals and measurable outcomes.
