Our client, a well-established commercial construction company, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, partnering with executive leadership, and helping a growing organization continue to scale. What You'll Do:

· Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

· Oversee job costing and project profitability reporting to support operational decision-making.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

· Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.

· Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting to support continued company growth.

· Lead and mentor the accounting and administrative team while fostering a collaborative environment.

· Work closely with the company's external CPA and serve as a trusted financial partner to leadership.

What We're Looking For:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience.

· Construction accounting and job costing experience strongly preferred.

· Experience leading accounting teams and implementing process improvements.

· ERP experience required; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to partner directly with leadership.
