Founded by Christy Goldsby at the Portland Farmers Market in 2013, Honey Mama’s is now available in over 7,000 stores across the country. About the Role

You’re a brand-obsessed, insight-driven, creative-meets-analytical marketing leader who knows how to translate brand strategy into high-impact programs, tools, and storytelling. You bring a sophisticated command of modern marketing paired with a hands-on, collaborative approach. You know how to lead teams, elevate creative, empower cross-functional partners, and build the marketing infrastructure needed to scale a beloved CPG brand.


You will lead the marketing team, champion brand alignment across all initiatives, and ensure that every marketing touchpoint reflects the heart, quality, and joy of Honey Mama’s.


What You’ll Love


Executive Leadership & Brand Stewardship

·       Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape brand direction, marketing priorities, and long-term growth plans.

·       Ensure all marketing and brand initiatives are aligned to a clear, insight-driven brand strategy.

·       Represent the marketing function with clarity, confidence, and heart in internal meetings and select external conversations.


Team Leadership 

·       Lead, mentor, and support the marketing team to deliver integrated, high-quality marketing campaigns.

·       Provide clear direction, prioritization, and coaching to ensure team members are aligned, empowered, and successful.

·       Champion cross-functional alignment with sales, operations, and finance.


Brand, Consumer & Category Leadership

·       Own brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling across channels, ensuring authenticity and consistency.

·       Lead consumer research: design studies, interpret insights, and turn learnings into actionable marketing strategies.

·       Partner with Innovation on product positioning, launches, packaging, and go-to-market plans.


Marketing Strategy & Hands-On Execution

·       Oversee all marketing program planning, execution, tracking, and optimization across the full funnel.

·       Lead the creation of selling decks, sales enablement materials, and retailer-specific presentations that bring the brand to life.

·       Align marketing initiatives with brand strategy, consumer insights, and business goals.

·       Support shopper, digital, PR, content, and experiential efforts ensuring cohesion and impact.


Creative Oversight

·       Serve as the manager and steward of all creative output, packaging, campaigns, content, digital, shopper, and sales materials.

·       Maintain a consistent brand identity and high creative standards in all expressions of Honey Mama’s.

·       Manage internal and external creative resources to deliver best-in-class work.


Budgeting, Insights & Optimization

·       Own the marketing budget: planning, tracking, forecasting, and ROI analysis.

·       Establish and monitor KPIs related to brand health, program performance, and marketing effectiveness.

·       Use data and syndicated insights to optimize spend and guide strategic decisions.


3rd-Party Partner Management

·       Manage agencies, freelancers, research partners, and other external collaborators to ensure quality, alignment, and efficiency.

·       Evaluate partner performance and negotiate contracts as needed.



What You’ll Bring


Experience

·       8–10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience (CPG strongly preferred).

·       Proven success leading brand, creative, and marketing programs end-to-end.

·       Experience with consumer research, creative management, and cross-functional leadership.

·       Strong financial acumen—budget management, forecasting, and ROI analysis.

·       Experience supporting brands through growth phases; refrigerated category background is a plus.
