GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Director of National Accounts, will be responsible for overseeing and developing the national accounts sales strategy. You will lead a team of national account managers, foster relationships with key retail partners, and drive revenue growth within our national accounts portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
National Account Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive national account strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Identify growth opportunities, build strong relationships, and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements with national retail partners.
Team Leadership: Manage and lead a high-performing national accounts team, including account managers and analysts. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team achieves targets and objectives.
Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by expanding distribution, optimizing product assortment, and implementing pricing and promotion strategies that maximize sales and profitability.
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key national accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and advocate for Albertsons. Ensure that customer needs and expectations are met and exceeded.
Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize data and market insights to make informed decisions and develop actionable strategies. Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations for contracts, trade agreements, and promotional programs with national accounts. Ensure contract compliance and profitability for the company.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, supply chain, finance, and product development to ensure alignment and seamless execution of strategies.
Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate potential new markets, regions, and distribution channels to drive growth and market penetration.
Budget Management: Manage the national accounts budget effectively, allocating resources for maximum impact and return on investment
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
7+ years of progressive experience in national account management, preferably in the CPG industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing national accounts.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
Leadership and team management experience.
Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Willingness to travel as needed
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
TRAVEL: Travel expected (Up to 30%)
PAY RANGE: $150,000 - $170,000 per year
