Position Overview
The E-Commerce Manager, Site Merchandising & Operations is responsible for the execution and optimization of the online customer experience across Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, EA7, and Armani Exchange. This role leads site merchandising, product publication, digital launches, omnichannel operations, website quality, and cross-functional coordination to support business growth, operational excellence, and luxury brand standards. Partnering closely with Global HQ, Merchandising, Retail, Operations, Technology, and Creative teams, the E-Commerce Manager ensures the successful delivery of digital initiatives and a seamless customer experience across all brands.
Key Responsibilities
Site Merchandising & Digital Experience
Own daily site merchandising execution and end-to-end product publication across Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, EA7, and Armani Exchange
Manage homepage, landing page, category page, and promotional content updates to support business priorities
Execute product launches, seasonal deliveries, marketing activations, markdowns, outlet events, employee sales, and special projects
Develop and maintain merchandising strategies that optimize product visibility, conversion, and customer engagement
Manage site navigation, search optimization, product badging, category structures, and digital shelf presentation
Partner with Global HQ to ensure local execution aligns with global brand standards and commercial goals
Partner with Merchandising, Buying, Creative, and Global teams to maintain brand standards and data integrity
Conduct ongoing audits to ensure consistency and accuracy across all customer-facing digital touchpoints
E-Commerce Operations & Fulfillment Management
Serve as the business lead for day-to-day ecommerce operational processes, ensuring seamless execution from order placement through fulfillment and delivery
Partner with Distribution Center, Logistics, Customer Service, Retail Operations, and Global teams to maintain operational readiness and resolve customer-impacting issues
Own packaging and fulfillment supply forecasting, leveraging sales trends, promotional calendars, and order volume projections to ensure adequate inventory of branded packaging, shipping materials, and seasonal collateral
Track and analyze operational KPIs including fulfillment service levels, shipment delays, cancellations, return rates, customer service escalations, and inventory discrepancies
Partner with Planning, Merchandising, and Logistics teams to support inventory availability, replenishment planning, and allocation strategies for key launches and promotional periods
Coordinate operational readiness for major ecommerce initiatives, including seasonal launches, promotional events, employee sales, outlet activations, and peak holiday periods
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall customer experience
Develop and maintain operational documentation, workflows, and best practices to support business continuity and scalability
Omnichannel Operations
Serve as the ecommerce lead for omnichannel initiatives, including Ship-from-Store, inventory visibility, returns processing, and fulfillment optimization
Partner with Retail Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, and Global teams to identify and resolve operational challenges
Monitor inventory discrepancies, cancellation rates, stock availability, and fulfillment performance
Lead issue resolution efforts related to inventory accuracy, omnichannel workflows, and customer experience
Support new omnichannel capabilities and process improvements across the Americas region
Website Quality Assurance & Platform Management
Maintain overall website health and brand presentation across all ecommerce platforms
Conduct routine QA testing to identify merchandising, content, navigation, pricing, and functionality issues
Partner with Technology, platform providers, and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve site issues
Support implementation of new functionality, platform enhancements, testing initiatives, and customer experience improvements
Monitor website performance and proactively identify opportunities to enhance conversion and usability
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Ecommerce, Retail Management, or related field
4-6 years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising or site operations
Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, product information management, site merchandising, and customer experience best practices
Experience managing digital product launches, promotions, and seasonal merchandising initiatives
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ecommerce reporting tools
Experience collaborating across global and cross-functional organizations
Knowledge of luxury retail, fashion merchandising, and omnichannel business models preferred
The selected candidate will receive a salary of USD plus bonus eligibility. Final compensation will be based on relevant skills, experience, education, and certifications.
