Full Stack Engineer Co-Op

Boston-based company Piaggio Fast Forward Inc. (PFF) was founded in 2015 by the Piaggio Group (the Italian manufacturer of the iconic Vespa scooter). Piaggio Fast Forward is looking for a Full Stack engineer Co-Op with a desire for delivering engaging web applications and to understand software development principles. You'll be part of a software development team that is working directly with the cloud development team and design staff in building web based solutions. Responsibilities will include working with our engineering team to develop web applications for a wide variety of physical products.

Responsibilities:

• Improve and add new feature sets to existing web-based applications
• Be involved in the development process to deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders
• Implement applications in an effective and scalable way
• Work through pair programming, productive code reviews, problem-solving and participation in technical discussions
• Assisting with build tools to automate code and feature validation
• Assure a high standard of quality in your own work and in the work of others on your team via good coding practices, process improvements, clean designs, smart testing, and review practices
  
  

Requirements:

• Experience developing and releasing cloud deployed web applications deployed on AWS, Azure, or similar
• Must be able to work onsite in a modern open collaboration office environment
• Knowledge with any of the web development platforms node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Experience with working with databases, such as MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, or Redis
• Proficiency in front end technologies such as AngularJS, React, and Vue.js
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
