Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect in Tampa, FL. Summary: The Lead Solution Architect is responsible for designing and delivering enterprise IT solutions while acting as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role converts business objectives into scalable architecture, aligns teams around clear technical direction, and ensures successful outcomes through strong communication, documentation, and collaboration across planning, development, deployment, and support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end technical delivery of solutions in partnership with business stakeholders
Provide daily technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to development teams
Remain hands-on by contributing code and maintaining deep development expertise
Manage the full delivery lifecycle using Azure DevOps, including requirements tracking, source control, build automation, and deployment pipelines
Collaborate with business partners to gather and define requirements that inform solution design
Balance business priorities with technical feasibility to maximize long-term value
Communicate architecture decisions through diagrams, documentation, presentations, APIs, and code
Lead refinement sessions to clarify requirements and evaluate implementation approaches
Partner with Business Analysts to maintain clear, validated backlog requirements
Provide transparent communication on progress, risks, estimates, and tradeoffs
Ensure operational readiness through documented support and transition processes
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
9+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role overseeing multiple teams or applications
Hands-on experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies including .NET, Azure, Dynamics, and SQL Server
Strong background in enterprise integration patterns and data architecture
Experience designing, governing, and evolving solution architectures aligned with enterprise frameworks
Proven track record delivering scalable, maintainable, and supportable technology solutions
Experience working within structured SDLC and project delivery methodologies
Strong capabilities across architecture, development, testing, agile delivery, and application lifecycle management
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and align technical strategy with business priorities
Demonstrated leadership through accountability, mentorship, and ownership of outcomes
Experience guiding multiple development teams within a value stream
Broad technical knowledge spanning applications, infrastructure, integrations, and tooling
Advanced ability to communicate architecture through conceptual, logical, and physical models
Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies and agile practices
Proven ability to estimate effort and coordinate enterprise-scale initiatives
Skilled in stakeholder alignment and enterprise-level negotiation
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
