Product Manager
About Amaze
Amaze is a creator economy company on a mission to help creators turn their audiences into businesses. Through our flagship platform — built on the foundation of TeeSpring, one of the pioneers of print-on-demand merchandise — we give creators the tools to design, sell, and ship products to fans around the world.
We’re small enough that your decisions show up in the product quickly, and big enough that they matter at scale. The roadmap moves fast, priorities evolve, and the people who thrive here are the ones who can create structure where there isn’t any and keep moving forward even when the inputs aren’t perfect.
The Role
We’re looking for a senior Product Manager to own a broad, high-impact scope: the creator-facing side of our platform. This means the core experience creators use to set up their stores, design and configure products, and manage their business with us.
A major focus of this role right now is our new design system — a suite of tools that helps creators produce high-quality, print-ready artwork for merchandise. Getting this right has a direct impact on creator success and the quality of product that ends up in fans’ hands. It’s a technically interesting, design-forward challenge that sits at the intersection of creativity and commerce.
This is not a narrowly scoped role. You’ll manage multiple workstreams in parallel, work directly with engineering, and be expected to bring clarity and momentum to ambiguous problem spaces. You should be as comfortable writing a spec as you are running a customer discovery session or pushing back on a scope decision in a room full of engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Own creator-facing product initiatives end to end — from discovery and framing through delivery, launch, and iteration.
- Lead the product direction for our new design system, defining how creators create, customize, and upload artwork for print-on-demand products.
- Translate high-level goals into clear product plans, requirements, and phased execution — written directly by you, not handed off.
- Work closely and daily with engineering on prioritization, technical tradeoffs, feasibility, and delivery. This is a true partnership, not a handoff relationship.
- Run discovery efforts: creator interviews, internal research, funnel analysis, problem validation.
- Manage and prioritize backlogs across multiple active initiatives without losing momentum on any of them.
- Define success metrics and evaluate outcomes post-launch to drive iteration.
- Communicate priorities, decisions, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders across product, engineering, design, and leadership.
- Help build the product muscle at Amaze — this role has real influence on how we work, not just what we ship.
What We’re Looking For
- 8–10+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in a fast-moving, high-growth, or resource-constrained environment.
- Proven generalist: you’ve owned complex, cross-functional problem spaces with minimal structure and made them work.
- Strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution — you don’t just set direction, you do the work.
- Demonstrated experience taking products from discovery through delivery and iteration, with measurable outcomes.
- Genuine technical fluency: you can hold your own in architecture conversations, understand tradeoffs, and earn the respect of strong engineering teams.
- Experience in creator tools, design tooling, e-commerce, or print-on-demand is a meaningful plus — domain knowledge matters here.
- AI fluency: you actively use AI in your product workflow (discovery, spec writing, analysis), not just as a talking point.
- Excellent written communication. You can write a tight spec, a clear Slack message, and a compelling exec summary — and know when each is appropriate.
- High agency, low ego. You make things happen without waiting for permission, and you’re comfortable not having all the answers.
- Track record of sustained follow-through on long, complex, or ambiguous initiatives. Resilience isn’t a buzzword for you.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates who are open to working out of our Costa Mesa, CA office at least 2 days a week
What to Expect
This role will give you broad ownership, direct access to leadership, and the chance to shape something that matters to a large and growing creator community. You’ll be working on a domain — creator commerce, print-on-demand, design tooling — that has real texture and complexity.
You should also expect that priorities will shift, that not every input will be clean, and that some weeks will require you to improvise. If that sounds frustrating, this probably isn’t the right fit. If it sounds like the job you’ve been looking for, we want to hear from you!
