Role Purpose

This Regional Sales Manager is responsible for executing regional sales strategies, managing key customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining a strong opportunity pipeline. The Regional Sales Manager will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to deliver solutions that support customer success and profitable growth.


What the role entails

(Key Responsibilities)

  • Own regional revenue and margin targets for STL’s optical connectivity portfolio.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to drive market share growth.
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies to expand STL’s presence across the Southeast region.
  • Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers including procurement, engineering, and executive leadership.
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on long-term partnership growth.
  • Maintain a qualified sales pipeline to support quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Manage opportunities through CRM systems and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline performance and market opportunities.
  • Lead key customer relationships and business reviews.
  • Coordinate responses to RFQs, pricing requests, and competitive bids.
  • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, contracts, and partnership agreements.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver competitive solutions and strong customer experiences.
  • Provide market feedback to support product development and go-to-market strategies.


What we are looking for in you

(Skills, Knowledge, Special Attributes, Mobility)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience in telecommunications, optical networking, fiber connectivity, or related technology markets.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles.
  • CRM and sales forecasting proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities..
