The software at Mango is responsible for processing petabytes of novel biological data, running it through cutting edge in-house ML models and exposing an industry-redefining UI/UX for our users.

Here at Mango you'll be one of a small team of extremely effective engineers where new tools and techniques are constantly evaluated and embraced, but also where deep technical understanding and discussion is ingrained in our culture.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead and navigate unique and challenging problems across a broad spectrum of technologies, from instrument control to the cutting edge of machine learning. This role calls for a dynamic individual who can autonomously tackle complex challenges, continuously deliver high-quality solutions, and effectively communicate progress and outcomes to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Craft and implement high performance for large-scale problems using a variety of frameworks primarily in Python. Our stack processes petabytes of data through bespoke internal algorithms and machine learning models.
• Collaboration: Work in close coordination with Mechanical, Electrical, and Biology teams to co-create solutions, demonstrating a strong ability to communicate across disciplines.
• Review and Documentation: Conduct thorough reviews of both code and design documentation, ensuring clarity, efficiency, and maintainability. Your contributions will be pivotal in maintaining our high standards of quality.
• Leadership and Communication: Provide regular updates to leadership on project statuses and challenges, embodying transparency and proactive problem-solving. Your ability to navigate uncertainty and drive projects to completion will be key.
