Base pay range
A market-leading global SaaS organisation is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to support complex enterprise B2B sales cycles across regulated industries. This role sits at the intersection of technology and commercial strategy, acting as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales process.
You’ll partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives, Product, Professional Services and Customer Success teams to design and position tailored solutions for large-scale customers. This is a high-impact, client-facing role requiring strong technical depth, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Act as the primary technical lead during enterprise sales engagements across multiple product lines.
• Support discovery conversations to identify quantifiable business challenges and align solutions accordingly.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations, technical workshops, and solution presentations aligned to desired business outcomes.
• Own and define solution architecture blueprints, validating technical requirements directly with prospective customers.
• Lead technical discussions during enterprise-level Proof of Concept engagements, ensuring success criteria are met.
• Manage technical responses for RFI/RFP/RFQ submissions.
• Prepare internal solution design documentation for complex deployments, including integration design and gap analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure technical alignment.
• Maintain accurate presales documentation within CRM and internal systems.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, emerging technologies, and regulatory landscapes.
• Contribute best practices and reusable collateral to the broader presales and sales teams.
What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years’ experience in Sales Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, IT Consulting or Software Engineering within enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS platforms and complex technology integrations.
• Previous experience of working as a Software Engineer
• Experience supporting large, regulated industry customers (e.g., Financial Services or similar).
• Solid knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or data-focused platforms.
• Ability to build credibility with senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience leading enterprise Proof of Concept engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and solution presentation.
• Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g., Demo2win, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, Solution Selling).
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
• Domain expertise in compliance, surveillance, archiving, eDiscovery, or unstructured data platforms.
