Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL databases. The ideal candidate will have expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, database performance tuning, data modeling, and supporting business-critical applications. The candidate will work closely with application developers, business analysts, and data teams to ensure efficient data management and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and database objects.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration and migration.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into database solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across database environments.
• Create and maintain database documentation, data dictionaries, and technical specifications.
• Monitor database performance and resolve production issues.
• Support reporting and analytics teams by providing efficient data access solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders during application development and deployment.
• Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL database development.
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and indexing.
• Knowledge of database design, normalization, and data modeling concepts.
• Experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Understanding of database security, backup, and recovery processes.
• Experience with ETL tools and data migration processes.
• Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL Database or cloud database platforms.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in SQL Database Development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
• Microsoft SQL Server certifications.
