An evidence-based design process
- To ensure we're building a usable and engaging VR environment, we need to follow an evidence-based and user-centered design process, but what does that process actually look like? To start, it's important to keep your user-centered process very lean. Being lean does not mean that you skip stages in the process, or you don't engage users, but instead, you ensure that each stage is efficient and effective. This means focusing your user studies to answer your biggest design questions. This will ensure that valuable user data informs each stage of the design. This important piece is what makes your process user-centered. Let me walk you through each of these stages. From the very beginning, the user-centered process starts with the users. During the discovery stage, you gather valuable information about your user.
