I try to stick to industry chat and posts when on LinkedIn, and thought twice about posting this, but the reality is that this is about our industry… journalists are our eyes and ears to the corners of the world we cannot reach, we have used their work in one way or another on all that we make and produce and we have a duty of care to support them no matter where they are and what they are reporting on - so tell me this… How are we at a point where headlines like this are even possible? How have global politics allowed this scale of suffering to go unchecked? Power imbalances don’t excuse inaction — governments everywhere have a duty to uphold international law and protect civilian lives, regardless of political alliances. Words of “deep concern” mean nothing without action. It’s time to stop the weaponisation of food. Stop supplying weapons to those committing atrocities. And start standing up — clearly and consistently — for what’s right. #news #journalism #media
So well said Maria. This is beyond anything we have seen before. Bravo.
