Kirby: Star Allies is an all-together pleasant game. Which is especially needed, both in the Nintendo Switch library and in the current climate of 2018. We need something simple and enjoyable that brings a smile to our faces. We need a game we can play with anyone we know, without worrying about possible barriers. It is a delight, and Switch owners will definitely appreciate adventuring with their buddy again.
Kirby Star Allies remains faithful to the vision of Sakurai, though it's much easier and very funny at the same time. The journey will be anything but challenging (and there are a couple of interesting extra game modes), but it will be an entertaining one. Definitely recommended for a younger audience, or if you have children.
Mixing in the four-player element makes for some hilarious antics, and the augmented powers that can be utilised make for some extremely exciting scenarios. The only drawback is the age-old concern of things being a bit simpler than desired, but HAL has packed in plenty of entertaining content to appease fans new and old alike.
Kirby is back and it’s as charming as ever, but this adventure isn’t as good as the best ones in the series. It is a good game, but it’s way too easy (even for a Kirby game) and a little uninspired.
Kirby Star Allies is good, at times enjoyable even. It’s lacking in the single-player experience, though, especially compared to Kirby’s recent outings on Nintendo 3DS. The multiplayer is fun, but the focus on it might leave some fans in the cold. As someone who enjoys everything Kirby, I was left somewhat flat until the end of the campaign and the post-game. On my second run with friends, I did see the true potential of the game.
Its levels are predictable, the puzzles are obvious, and the four-player co-op adds little besides the literal ability to have four people playing at the same time.
A very nice start to the pink puff ball on the Switch but that's about it with this game, it's a nice enjoyable Kirby game, with the same mechanics besides the new hearts to get allies but that's just co-op with NPC's. The abilities they added are fun and all of the playable characters calling back to other games is a cute touch that make me come back from time to time. They did add a bunch of free updates that added a lot of content in the game and it's honestly really fun.
If I didn't get this game in a second-hand bundle with 5 other Switch games, I would've never purchased this game. This thing bored me to tears, from its trivial gameplay, to its really overpowered allies system, to its overall lack of personality in the context of the rest of the series. I am not sure if the experience improves with multiplayer, but the tedium of the singleplayer mode is everything that a Kirby game shouldn't be.
Nintendo interactive is the studio that have most iconic and brand-new gameplay in history of game. Almost every game was released by nintendo has unique or most satisfying gameplay. However, in this brand-new Kirby franchise game star allies has no any of it additional bad level desinging and high price.
First of all, there are not any kind of satisfying thing to push myself to continue it in Kirby Star Allies's gameplay. The game was totally desinged to play with 4 players like mobile games. This decision sometimes do not be awful to make a game but it is totally desinged for it that is why it is so boring to play it alone. For example, If you want to see or collect most of the items and coins, you need to make some friendly allies by using your throwable heart. When your team is full of members you do not need to put your effort to finish the episode because your allies can easily clear enimies in the level.
Moreover, one argument against this cannot be ignored level desinging is so boring too. In addition to boring gameplay, level desing is also as bad as gameplay. For that reason, even if you play the game with your friends is not enjoyable.
In addition to these, Price wants for the game, which has not complex level desing or enjoyable gameplay, is 60 dolar same price with zelda BOTW or GOW by offering mobile game contents. It is not acceptable.
Consequently, Star Allies is the nintendo's biggest disappointment around all switch games by offering high price to play unenjoyable gameplay and level desinging.
Maybe 5 or 10 dolar is enough to try Kirby Star Allies. Not more that !
