Love the old fashioned stage...might just make a puppet theater/performance stage scaled down, but very similar to this.

The Hippodrome Stage looking out at the audience. The original stage was 42 ft. wide 30 ft. deep and 60. ft high, which was much larger than most stages in the early 1900's. The stage was unmodified throughout its run as a vaudeville and movie theater. The 2004 renovation made the stage 108 ft. wide, over 50 ft. deep and 7 stories high to accommodate the Broadway productions that would come through.
