Pyramids of Giza

The Pyramids of Giza are open from 7 am to 6 pm from April to September and from 8 am to 4 pm from October to March.

The Light and Sound Show starts at 7 pm during the winter months (October to March) and 7:30 pm during the summer months (April to September).
The Pyramids of Giza are open during Ramadan, generally until 8:30 pm. Their timings may differ during this period.

Weekends and public holidays draw hundreds of visitors to the Pyramids. Try to arrive early in the day so that you are inside the Necropolis before the morning rush around 10 am. Invest in skip-the-line tickets to reduce wait times.
During weekdays, there are fewer tourists as compared to weekends. While you still have to wait in lines, you can enter the Giza Necropolis complex within 30 minutes. If you want to explore the inner burial chambers of the Great Pyramid, ride a camel safari, and enjoy the Light and Sound Show to the fullest, try planning a visit during weekdays when the premises are comparatively quieter.

Peak season (November to February): These are the best months to plan a visit to the Giza Necropolis, offering cooler temperatures and making it easier for you to explore the archaeological site. However, the Pyramids close early during winter, giving you less time to explore the complex.
Mid season (March to May, September to October): During these months, the weather begins to get warmer. Arrive early in the day so that you are inside the Necropolis before the noon sun.
Low season (June to August): Egypt experiences extremely hot temperatures during these months, which makes outdoor activities unbearable.
