Carved by Mother Nature over thousands of years

Shanklin Chine, the Island’s oldest visitor attraction that’s been drawing visitors for over 200 years with its natural beauty and wonder

NOTICE TO VISITORS

We just wanted to let our visitors know that Island Roads have closed the road that allows direct access to Shanklin Chine via our top entrance/Old Village entrance.

Alternative route from Old Village is along Church Road, Priory Road, Popham Road to Rylstone Gardens. Please see the diversion route map for guidance.

You can also access us via the bottom entrance/Shanklin Esplanade.

We can only apologise for this and are working to get this rectified.

Shanklin Chine Opens:

26th March to 31st August: 10am – 10pm (last entry 9:30pm).

1st September to 1st November: 10am – 9pm (last entry 8:30pm).

Please Note: Last exit from The Top Entrance, known as the Old Village Entrance, is 15 minutes before the Chine closes. After this time, there is no access out of Shanklin Chine via the Top Entrance. The exit is via the Bottom Entrance, known as Esplanade/Accessibility/Family Entrance.

We may close on days when the weather is bad for health and safety reasons. This will be communicated on our Facebook page. For the latest updates, please call the Booking Office on 01983 866432.
