Breakdown of the halal food market in France in 2023, by brand

Over ** percent of the halal food market is owned by Isla Délice, far above the rest of the brands offering halal options in France. Islam, like many religions, provides some life rules for its followers, where some activities are deemed "halal," the Arabic term for "permissible", and some are viewed as "haram", meaning "forbidden" in English. These two words are often used when talking about Islamic dietary rules. The market for halal food has been continuously progressing since 2009: its annual revenue grew by almost 300 million euros in over ten years.
