The presented timeline shows that the Italian production volume of olive oil reached tons in the crop year 2018/2019. This was a drastic drop compared to the previous year, when tons of oil were produced in Italy. The estimated production in the crop year 2025/2026 amounted to tons, an increase from the previous year. These types of fluctuating production figures are quite normal and are due to the fact that in alternate years, climatic factors and water availability contribute to production either positively or negatively.
