What is the definition of a soft skill?

I call them interpersonal skills instead of soft skills, because that has a better connotation I think. But, interpersonal skills are actually what more and more employers are looking for. You can always teach a hard skill, but we need people who have skills like empathy, communication, active listening, teamwork, and collaboration. They're skills in emotional intelligence that help you be an effective team player on a team or in an organization.

How can I find a career I love?

People often ask "what’s my passion?" But I think deep down, we all want to make an impact. If we make an impact or a difference, big or small in the world, it makes us feel really good. So in my coaching, I often ask people "How can you serve?" I’ve found that service is often the key to loving your career.

How can I work with someone I usually clash with?

Try to keep in mind that people operate differently and are motivated by things differently from you. What may be energizing and exciting for you could be draining for another person. You have to be able to have open conversations so you can move through those frustrating experiences.
