The Outdated Pant Trend From The Early Aughts Making A Comeback For Spring 2025

Brace yourselves, because capris are back. The shortened pant, which dominated the early aughts, fell out of fashion around the 2010s, in part because it was difficult to style and so evocative of the earlier part of the decade; an era that many Millennials have tried to leave behind. Dress capris down with ballet flats and an oversized blazer for a perfect daytime look, or dress them up with kitten heels and a dramatic tube top for a going out look. While so many distinct trends from the early '00s are coming back, we're most excited about the revival of these adorable pedal pushers. 

The whole appeal of reviving Y2K trends is finding ways to make them feel fresh for the contemporary season. For instance, slim fitting, black capris add a feminine balance to an oversized, ivory men's shirt. Cinch the waist with a belt to create a defined silhouette, and polish it off with a pair of minimal kitten heeled sandals. If the outfit needs a little sex appeal, pair capris with a bralette top and an open blazer. 

A draw for capris are their varied textures, and since they're trending so hard again, these are plentiful and easy to source.
