Autumn Reeser's Worst Red Carpet Outfit Was A Mismatched Mess

If you're a fan of Hallmark movies, chances are you've seen Autumn Reeser star in one of her many feel-good films. Of course, the romance-centered flicks aren't complete without some flirty 'fits, and the wardrobe department has a special knack for assembling the perfect look for Reeser's characters. Unfortunately, the "Valentine Ever After" star doesn't always pair the right pieces together in real life, and her 2022 Burbank International Film Festival ensemble was just wrong.

While this event isn't as dressy as the Oscars, Reeser could have stepped it up with more than just a plain white tank top worn over a lacy black bra. What's more, she paired it with silky buttercream-colored pants that completely clashed with her upper half. 

Reeser's trousers were perfectly acceptable for a film festival, although they could have used some steaming. However, they would have looked much dressier had she worn a breezy button-down shirt, maybe in a bright color to stand out. Her outfit admittedly wasn't as bad as some of her Hallmark co-star Lacey Chabert's worst-dressed moments, but Reeser's film festival look was a far cry from her usual impeccable style.

Autumn Reeser's real-life style is fun and flirty, just like her Hallmark Channel characters. She likes to keep things a bit simpler, however. "I'm a minimalist. I like to wear my clothes, use my household items, and drive my car as long as possible," she wrote in an Instagram post, where she showcased an impressive capsule wardrobe for a three-day weekend away. "The more stuff we have, the more management it requires, and at this stage of the game, I've earned the freedom I feel from a light heart and life."

Reeser has proved she can keep up with the trends too, wearing a modern denim-on-denim look in December 2024: a navy button-up paired with faded light blue jeans. In the Instagram reel showing her enjoying the outdoors in the relaxed 'fit, she thanked fans for helping her raise money for organizations that help preserve the environment. "This is INCREDIBLE BABE!! You're my hero!!!" one fan raved. 

It seems jeans are one of Reeser's go-to clothing items. "I have a love affair with denim," she told OK! in 2010. "My favorites are Joe's Jeans skinny jeans in a semi-dark wash." While skinny jeans are now considered somewhat unfashionable, you can totally style your skinny jeans so that they don't look outdated if you want to follow Reeser's lead.
