Parker Posey Hair Looks That Just Didn't Work

Parker Posey has had more than a few red carpet misfires — and more often than not, her hair was to blame. From helmet-like blowouts to unflattering curls, some of her past hair looks just didn't do the beautiful woman any justice. Which is why it's absolutely refreshing to see Parker Posey's style transformation and the great looks she's rocking now. 

Posey's standout performance in the third season of the hit series "The White Lotus" has turned "Piper, noooo!" and "Tsunamiiii" into instant memes, with some North Carolina natives on TikTok even getting their own mothers to read the lines aloud just to marvel at how eerily accurate Posey's accent is. And just like her acting, Posey's current hair look is serving her amazingly well. The cut, the curls, the color, and everything about it is just chef's kiss. It perfectly suits her features. 

But getting here wasn't exactly a straight path. There were a few wrong turns along the way, with red carpet hair choices that didn't do the actor any good. For each of these looks, we just wish we could have told her ... Parker, noooo!

In 2015, Parker Posey showed up to the premiere of "Irrational Man" with a blown-out bob that looked like it had run into strong winds on the way out of Posey's glam appointment. We're not really sure what she was going for, but it almost feels like someone backcombed the top of her hair halfway through and just gave up. 

To make matters worse, the awkward length, cut, and oddly warm and flat shade of blonde didn't really complement Posey's stunning features. The actress is usually known for her effortlessly chic looks, but this one almost feels like it tried too hard, and it certainly didn't do much at all for her.

For the 2018 premiere of the Netflix series "Lost in Space," Parker Posey walked the red carpet with a blowout that didn't really serve her at all. The rounded shape of the overall style gave it a dated, helmet-like quality. The face-framing curls at the bottom not only looked overstyled, but also added bulk and didn't flatter her gorgeous heart-shaped face in the right way. 

It's always a shame to see celebrities with hair looks that miss the mark — especially since it's a part of the glam team's job to choose a haircut that suits their face shape. On top of all of this, the slightly teased crown and the awkward-length curtain bangs gave the whole look more of a '90s costume party vibe than the feeling of a 2018 red carpet moment. Posey's hair look lacked contrast and texture, with everything just feeling big. This was a look that definitely dimmed her usual cool-girl spark. 

There's a fine line between style-forward and style-swallowed, and we have to admit Parker Posey's overall look for a screening event in 2016 was the latter. The actor has striking bone structure, and the choppy, bang-heavy haircut with uneven volume absolutely drowns those features. 

A good hairstyle should frame the face and highlight your best features, but this hair look just crowds Posey's face. On top of that, the look is flat on the top, but there's too much volume on the sides. It's definitely one of those hair looks that instantly ages you, and would be difficult for anyone to pull off, frankly.
