The Unflattering Pamela Anderson Gown That Should Have Landed Her On The Worst-Dressed List
Since the height of her career in the '90s, Pamela Anderson has lived rent-free in our minds. Can you blame us? In addition to being stunning, the actor has created some of the most iconic looks of all time. From her signature lip liner to her body-hugging outfits (who could forget the stunning 1999 Oscars Party dress?), Anderson seemed like she could do no wrong, but like the rest of us, she has had her fashion fails.
One of the most memorable was on the red carpet at the 2006 Golden Globes, which happened to be her first appearance at the award show. Anderson wore a two-toned gown that featured a black one-shoulder top with an asymmetric cut below the bodice, and a long, white skirt. Unfortunately, the high-contrast dress did not flatter the actor at all. The silhouette created by the odd transition of the black fabric into the white skirt caused an unfortunate optical illusion against her chest.
Thankfully, in the years since, the "Baywatch" actor has gone on to redeem herself from this fashion faux pas, opting for looks that aren't overly bulky. That was evident when she returned to the Golden Globes in 2025, wearing a new dress that she picked out herself.
Pamela Anderson redeems her 2006 dress fail with a timeless gown
Pamela Anderson would make her second appearance on the Golden Globe red carpet in 2025. And this time, she decided to do things a bit differently. The "Showgirl" star took our breath away in a stunning black gown that she punctuated with black gloves and eye-catching diamonds.
Though we could not get enough of her dress, we cannot help but be drawn to Anderson's makeup-free face, which on top of her maturely glam outfit was in stark contrast to her disaster of a dress from her 2006 red carpet look. Social media users were also drawn to her bare face on videos showing Anderson glowing at the 2025 Golden Globes. One fan said on TikTok, "she looks sooooo good. Aging is hard. But that natural beauty gonna come through no matter what." Another fan said in part, "Stunning! Love her old self and really love her new self."
During an interview with Elle in August 2023, she called her style during that time "wild and uninhibited." Anderson also touched on why she decided to go makeup-free telling Elle that she came to that conclusion after her makeup artist Alexis Vogel died from breast cancer. "Since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it's just better for me to not wear makeup," she said, adding that it has been "freeing, fun and a little rebellious." It goes to show that Anderson is still an icon, even has her style has changed. But in any case, we can only hope that she put that infamous 2006 dress where it will never see the light of day.
