    We want to make it easier and quicker for people to access the care they need. Health Secretary Angela Constance has announced our new plan to improve A&E performance and deliver more healthcare outside of hospitals, at home and in the heart of communities.

    Thousands of people now have easier access to urgent same day care through our GP walk-in services. 11 pilot services have already opened with 24 more areas announced.

    More people should be able to access treatment and recovery services closer to home. Our £1.7 million investment in detoxification and residential rehabilitation will allow that to happen in the Highlands and Islands. Watch Health Secretary Angela Constance explain more.

    The draft Referendum Bill has been published asking 'Should Scotland be an independent country? Yes or No.' The Bill, which will be introduced into Parliament once the necessary powers are secured, was a commitment in the Scottish Government’s 100 days programme.
