I only gave one of many examples that will inevitably occur if you
rely on reference counting.
My main point was something entirely different.
If the tool chosen to solve the problem is not well suited, then no
matter what methods are used to avoid mistakes,
it turns into an ongoing struggle that only adds complexity and
increases the chance of error.
