Below are some of the things I’m working on right now. If you’re interested in looking at a draft, let me know and I’ll send you one (if one exists, that is!).
* (coauthored with Johan Brännmark) a paper arguing that ontological individualism (about the social domain) is only interesting if coupled with a special type of (social constitutive/metaphysical) explanatory individualism. Under review.
* paper arguing that (the nature of) metaphysical explanation must be clearly separated from (the nature of) ground and that once it is some surprising results follow. Under review.
* (coauthored with Naomi Thompson) a paper arguing (against e.g., Skiles and Trogdon) that explanation is not a good guide to ground. Commissioned for a volume on the epistemology of ground (CUP). Full draft in existence.
* paper arguing that metaphysical explanation sometimes fails because it is gappy, that there are two types of gaps—conceptual and metaphysical gaps—and that the only account of the nature of metaphysical explanation equipped to make sense of both is separatism. Full draft in existence.
* paper defending the view that the world is ‘flat’ (i.e., no structured with the help of grounding relations) against common arguments against it (only to then turn around and reject it for other reasons). Half a draft half in existence.
* (coauthored with Naomi Thompson) paper introducing and defending a distinction between epistemic and metaphysical inheritance. Rough draft in existence.
* paper critically discussing Shamik Dasgupta’s views on the normativity of joint carving. Rough draft in existence.
