Was a pleasure working with you Tristan Boyd. Was amazing to see how you transformed the Bitmovin (non existing) brand into what it is today. Even more impressive for me was how you got into the whole video topic and content, well done! It made me realize once again how much context is missed over Slack or video calls. In person, you get to see a person's full personality, which helps us understand how best to work together and realize that some things are smaller than we make them out to be. Some problems are really just misunderstandings. Some tension is really in our imagination. What may seem like overly positive personalities are actually genuine. It's never easy to be the new gal, even if I've done it so many times by now. You have to go through the painful process of allowing people to realize your true intentions. And it can be painful. For example, I've been told that my American accent gives some Europeans the impression of inauthentic intentions. That's a hard pill to swallow. Not only my appearance, but how I sound makes others create negative assumptions about me? Damn. But here's the thing: our actions over time will always reveal who we truly are. So just be yourself, and let time do the rest. 🧡

Mein Ziel ist es im Beruf zu 100% derselbe zu sein wie privat und ein Unternehmen aufzubauen in dem das auch so gelebt wird. Das ist in der Realität oft schwierig. Man hat Kunden, Mitarbeiter, Kollegen, Firmenziele und all das verleitet dazu im Beruf eine Rolle einzunehmen die nicht mehr ganz dem entspricht wer man eigentlich ist. Umso größer diese Diskrepanz desto wahrscheinlicher leidet etwas darunter. Berufliche Performance, privates Wohlbefinden oder beides. Als Praktikant, dann Junior-Dev und jetzt CTO bei Kickscale durfte ich diese Erfahrung selbst einige Male machen und habe gemerkt umso mehr Überschneidung es hier gibt umso besser. Langfristige ganzheitliche (Für Kunde, Unternehmen und Mitarbeiter) Wertschöpfung kann meiner Meinung nach nur stattfinden wenn unternehmerische Interessen und persönliche Interessen zum Großteil in Einklang gebracht werden. Anstatt von Work-Life Balance sollten wir Work-Life Alignment propagieren und anstreben. Ich bin sehr dankbar bei Kickscale mit Markus Jenul und Gerald Zankl eine Berufung gefunden zu haben die es mir erlaubt Work-Life Alignment zu leben!

The library is cross platform buildable including Windows, Linux and Mac, open-source available and licensed under the LGPL. It implements the full DASH standard according to ISO/IEC 23009-1, Information Technology Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) Part 1: Media Presentation Description and Segment Formats and handles the download and XML parsing of the MPD. Based on that information it provides…

Based on that information it provides an interface for application developers. Internally the library uses libcurl for the download of the individual segments and therefore basically all protocols that libcurl supports, e.g., HTTP, SPDY, FTP, etc. are supported by libdash.
