The brief: turn first-time buyers into long-term customers. Deepening our customer relationships is our top priority right now. The foundations and tools are in place. You'd have the mandate to shape what comes next. You'd own loyalty across the group, email and CRM in Klaviyo, subscriptions, and the customer insight that steers our strategy - and also have a strong voice in onsite conversion and trading. You'd lead a small team, report to our incredible CMO Candace MacPherson, and work closely with me on tech and AI. It suits someone who has built or scaled a customer function and owned retention and conversion targets. Real understanding of customers and empathy for them matters, and so does curiosity about how AI can improve the work. Our culture in one line: everyone takes the rubbish and compost out when it needs doing! Permanent and full-time, with a base salary plus a performance incentive tied to agreed commercial outcomes. Auckland is ideal, but we're open to anywhere in NZ or Australia for the right person, with flexible working by negotiation. Know someone? Kate Massey shared thisWhirlwind trip to Melbourne last week to squeeze in as much facetime as possible in a rapid amount of time 🌪️ From partner, team & customer catch ups to sponsoring another unmissable cocktail happy hour(s) hosted by Dean Salakas & Jethro Marks it was a very jam-packed, rewarding few days. 13 meetings. 2.5 days. Optimisation for peak was the recurring theme of the trip. Brands, retailers & partners are all locking in to ensure peak trade is set up for success. Testing, planning and tweaking is happening now to maximise visibility and performance. The trip was topped off with a surprise treat sitting next to Laura Doonin to share a wine and non-stop conversation on the plane ride home. Loved seeing examples of some of the new innovations Shippit are powering for much loved Aussie retailers. Slow to post Jeremy Hanger (slipping) but totally enjoyed racing from the airport to our Athos Commerce & Megantic lunch to celebrate the awesome feedback from our recent webinar and kick off the trip on the right footing. I loved Kelly’s admission “I’m better when I’m busy!” (Me too!) and also loved the optimistic lesson of “You win or you learn and if you learn you can take that learning to your next big win.” Thank you both for an unfiltered chat - I could have listened to you both all day! ✨ So lucky to be on the panel with fellow ecom gals Alex Ross and Vanessa Hutinec! AWIE events give us the chance to dig into the real things impacting our community; imposter syndrome, having tough conversations, green/red flags in the workplace, the mental load, juggling.. we even ended up touching on the political landscape and the impact that’s having on Australian business, buyer behavior and the necessity for leadership to be more hands on with tech stack decisions. 💙 Thank you Rad Mitic for bringing the community together - there’s nobody else as committed, thoughtful and kind as you! 😊 Wonderful to see some faces I haven’t in too long - Suzannah Campagnaro, Amy Goodsell, Luke Evans, Dr Narelle Hutchesson & Rebekka Gibson (Frost)! 🚀Last but not least I got to spend some time with Robert G. from PerkRunner and hear all about some (very) early wins - love to see you kicking goals buddy! Kate Massey liked thisAnd just like that, maternity leave is over! After 9 months that have somehow flown by, I’m officially back at Swanky. It’s been the most incredible 9 months watching Penny grow and getting to experience all those little moments. I’m going to miss our little bubble more than I can put into words, but I’m also genuinely excited to get back to the people, clients and work I’ve missed. There’s been plenty of change at Swanky while I’ve been away, so I’ve got lots to catch up on, but I’m coming back feeling refreshed, with a new perspective and very excited for this next chapter. Ready to find the balance between being Mum and being Ellie again. 🤍

I am a fundraiser and advocate for Cure Cancer Australia Foundation and have completed a number of memorable endurance challenges to raise money for this great cause. Adventures include completing the gruelling Kokoda Trail, the Salcantay Trek to Machu Picchu, a Sydney Half-Marathon (as a former non-runner), conquering the highest-free standing mountain in the world Mount Kilimanjaro, the New York Marathon and the Larapinta Trail in Outback Australia. I am proud to have have personally raised…
I am a fundraiser and advocate for Cure Cancer Australia Foundation and have completed a number of memorable endurance challenges to raise money for this great cause. I am proud to have have personally raised over $70,000 and been involved in collectively raising over $730,000 to contribute towards stamping out cancer. I share the stories behind these adventures as a keynote speaker at Cancer Researcher and fundraising events.
Going through cancer was the toughest thing I have ever faced in my life and as a survivor I am passionate to play a role in finding a cure through supporting the amazing work that Cure Cancer Australia Researchers are doing. -
