
The map above shows which countries use a unique currency symbol when showing prices (e.g. $, £, €) vs countries that just display prices using letters from the alphabet (RS, kr, etc.)
And in case you’re wondering what symbols are used:
Some countries use both systems. For example in Japan you’ll get both prices in ¥ and also 円 (which is a Kanji letter). Similarly in China you can find ¥ and 元 (Chinese for Yuan) and sometimes even CNY and RMB.
