I've always said Mark Reuss is the best car person in the industry. Today, the Automotive Hall of Fame made it official. Mark is the 2026 recipient of the Industry Leader Award, recognized for his leadership across automotive manufacturing, product development, and engineering. This well-deserved honor places him among the most influential figures in our field. To all of us at General Motors, Mark is also one of our greatest champions. The photo below says it all. That's Mark in 2013, when the Cadillac ATS won North American Car of the Year. Sitting beside him that day, I can tell you his reaction was completely genuine. His enthusiasm hasn’t changed. Cadillac continues to earn recognition, reflecting the high standards Mark has helped set and the critical role he still plays. He brings technical expertise few can match and a relentless focus on designing and building around what matters most to our customers. Over four decades, he has strengthened this company and our team through his leadership and belief in what we can accomplish together. This recognition reflects Mark's impact on our industry and on all of us at GM. Please join me in congratulating him.

Most people never see where their vehicle was built. For 7 million of them, it was Wentzville, Missouri. Today, Wentzville Assembly built its 7 millionth vehicle since opening 43 years ago. It was a black Chevrolet Colorado, finished at 11:30 a.m. with the people who built it gathered around to celebrate. "Customers rely on us to build the vehicles that power their daily lives," said Eric Shelhorn, plant executive director. "Reaching 7 million built is proof that we deliver. Here's looking forward to the next million."

Truck leadership isn’t a slogan — it’s earned in the details: the engine, the validation, the people and the plants that bring it all together. Over the past week, we shared the next chapter of GM's pickups, and I couldn't be prouder. Starting with the next generation of our Small Block story. Two all-new Gen-6 Small Block V8s will launch with the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500. The 5.7L and 6.6L were engineered to serve all the different ways customers actually use their trucks: towing, hauling, commuting and off-roading. The 6.6L delivers 481 horsepower, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in any light-duty pickup. This story carries forward more than 70 years of Small Block expertise and the skill of the people who have advanced it from one generation to the next. That same purpose-built approach extends to our heavy-duty lineup. Known as "the Mongoose," GM’s first all-new, in-house-designed heavy-duty diesel engine is a showstopper. The 8.3-liter Duramax turbodiesel V8 delivers power and capability that stomps the competition. With 1,230 lb-ft of torque and 555 horsepower, the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD are at the top of the heavy-duty food chain. We put all our engineering and pickup-truck knowledge into this engine, and it paid off. This is American manufacturing and engineering in action. We invested billions in some of our U.S. facilities to prepare for and produce all the new engines and our new LD and HD pickups. Two brands. Distinct trucks and distinct customers. Michael Hanley spent a full shift at Romulus Propulsion Systems, working alongside Team Leaders to build the transmissions his team usually protects from the other side of a screen. Cadillac plays a unique and specific role at GM. Every new model bears the brand’s heritage while giving us room to explore the next frontier. Dolby Atmos, power doors, the next generation of Super Cruise, and several innovations I can’t discuss yet all share the same aim: to improve the experience of the people who use it while blending effortlessly into their lives.
