I've always said Mark Reuss is the best car person in the industry. Today, the Automotive Hall of Fame made it official. Mark is the 2026 recipient of the Industry Leader Award, recognized for his leadership across automotive manufacturing, product development, and engineering. This well-deserved honor places him among the most influential figures in our field. To all of us at General Motors, Mark is also one of our greatest champions. The photo below says it all. That's Mark in 2013, when the Cadillac ATS won North American Car of the Year. Sitting beside him that day, I can tell you his reaction was completely genuine. His enthusiasm hasn’t changed. Cadillac continues to earn recognition, reflecting the high standards Mark has helped set and the critical role he still plays. He brings technical expertise few can match and a relentless focus on designing and building around what matters most to our customers. Over four decades, he has strengthened this company and our team through his leadership and belief in what we can accomplish together. This recognition reflects Mark's impact on our industry and on all of us at GM. Please join me in congratulating him.
Over four decades of impact and the passion is still there. Sending a well deserved congratulations to Mark Reuss! 💙 👏
Congratulations on this well-deserved award, Mark! Your dad was my first client at McCann-Erickson while managing the Buick Business, I can only imagine how proud he has been over the course of your career General Motors. Your contributions have been limitless, as has your humility and your leadership. Well done!
Technical expertise paired with a relentless focus on customers is a rare combination, and it clearly shows up in how Cadillac keeps earning recognition.
Congratulations, Mark!
Congratulations Mark Reuss! Richly deserved 👏
Congratulations Mark! Well earned and deserved.
Inspiring recognition of leadership in manufacturing and product engineering. Technical continuity across decades builds resilient operations and long-term shareholder value. How do you cultivate such sustained expertise?
Congratulations, Mark! Very well deserved!
Absolutely. Right up there with Cole, Lutz, and JZD. And GM had them all. For my entire life, nobody in my family ever purchased anything but a General Motors car. Neither had I until I went to work for a competitor. But through all these years, there has always been a GM car in my garage, as there is today: my father's last Corvette, which I will never sell.
