Honouring Canadian grown-and-made foods means we also need to remember the original caretakers of the Land. It's something we strive to do at Made with Local, which is why sharing a special initiative that we've just launched in partnership with the North Shore Mi'kmaq Tribal Council Our Strawberry Sunshine real food bar is a limited-edition release that sells out every summer, and this year it features an original artwork design by Mi'kmaq youth. This snack is as beautiful inside as it is out, and features Canadian-grown organic oats, organic honey, and real Canadian-grown strawberries in every bite. Bars from this special collaboration are now available in our online shop for a limited time ☀️

We're teaming up with Cool Climate Club to bring land in Nova Scotia back to its biodiverse, resilient roots of an Acadian Wabanaki forest. Every order over $100 in our online shop will help us plant native tree species here, to rehabilitate land that’s still feeling the effects of Hurricane Fiona. Cool Climate Club is an organization that knows forests. Powered by Canada's Forest Trust, CCC has figured out how to plant the right trees in the right places, and actually track what grows, the carbon sequestration impacts, and long-term regeneration of trees planted. Every tree planted through this campaign is an important part of biodiverse forest recovery here in Canada. Campaign is live from April 22-28th in our online shop!
