  • Purity Life’s President & CEO opinions on AI.

    View profile for Brady Wilson

I keep hearing the same fear about AI: that it's coming for people's jobs. Matthew James, President and CEO of Purity Life Health Products LP, has a different read on it, grounded in what he's actually done inside his own organization. "We don't believe AI is going to take people's jobs away, but we do believe it will take people's jobs away that don't use AI and aren't familiar with it," he told me on this episode. What he's freed up isn't headcount. It's the energy his teams used to spend on drudgery, now redirected toward the work only a person can do. 🎙️ Listen or watch our full conversation: https://lnkd.in/gJRr2ZBm #WhatJuicesYou #Leadership #ArtificialIntelligence #EnergyManagement

  • Purity Life Health Products President & CEO Matthew James is the latest guest on Brady Wilson What Juices You podcast, where he shares practical leadership lessons from leading one of Canada’s largest business integrations in the natural health, wellness, and grocery industry. The conversation explores: • Building #OnePurityLife by bringing together multiple businesses, cultures, and teams. • Why successful integration is driven by honest, candid conversations—not just systems and processes. • How leaders can move beyond protecting people from change to partnering with them through it. • How Purity Life is leveraging AI to eliminate low-value work, allowing employees to focus on higher-value activities that create greater value for customers and business partners. As Canada’s leading Canadian-owned, full-service distributor of natural health, wellness, and grocery products, Purity Life believes that clear communication, transparency, and consistent leadership are essential to building trust with employees, customers, vendors, brokers, and retail partners. Thank you to Brady Wilson and the What Juices You podcast for the opportunity to share Purity Life’s leadership philosophy and the journey toward building one unified national organization. 🎙️ Listen to the full episode below #OnePurityLife #EasyToDoBusinessWith

  • Purity Life had interactive key note from Jefferson Fisher hosted by Purity Life President & CEO Matthew James Jefferson’s practical approach to communication challenged the participants to think differently about how they lead, collaborate, and navigate difficult conversations. A few key takeaways were:
• Speak to solve the problem, not to win the argument.
• The calmest person in the room often has the greatest influence.
• Listen to understand before seeking to be understood.
• Clear communication builds trust, strengthens relationships, and improves performance. Thank you, Jefferson, for sharing practical tools our team can apply every day—at work and beyond. At Purity Life, we believe investing in better communication is an investment in stronger leaders, stronger teams, and a stronger culture. #Leadership #Communication #JeffersonFisher #ContinuousLearning #Culture #OnePurityLife

  • Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate the upcoming retirement of Randy Whitteker and recognize his many years of leadership, dedication, and contribution to the natural and organic products industry. Over the course of more than three decades, Randy helped build Ontario Natural Food Co-op into a highly respected leader in natural and organic food distribution. Along the way, he championed independent retailers, supported emerging brands, and advocated for sustainable business practices. We were pleased to honour this important milestone alongside employees, retailers, brokers, and vendor partners. Randy’s last day with Purity Life Mississauga will be Friday, June 26. Please take a few moments to watch Randy’s retirement tribute video, which was shared during the celebration. The video captures Randy’s reflections as well as many of the special moments from the event. Randy Whitteker , thank you for your leadership, partnership, and lasting impact on our industry. We wish you every success and happiness in this exciting next chapter. All the best, Purity Life
