Last week, our team came together for a Mill Lake Park clean-up in celebration of World Environment Day (a little later than planned thanks to the rain earlier this month ☔). Together, we collected 670 pieces of litter from the park and surrounding area, including: • 254 cigarette butts • 85 food wrappers • 70 miscellaneous waste items • 59 pieces of plastic waste • 29 plastic straws/stirrers • 19 balloons • 15 plastic bottle caps • 13 plastic food containers • And much more It's always great to spend time together outside of work, and even better when we can make a positive impact in our community while enjoying some sunshine. 🌱☀️ Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the park a little cleaner for all to enjoy.

35+ years ago, Silver Hills Bakery started with a family, a mission, and a belief that food could be better. 🌾 What began as a small family operation in Abbotsford, BC has grown into something truly special — not just as a bakery, but as a place to work, grow, and be part of something meaningful. And through every decade of growth, the family spirit that started it all has never left the building. When you work at Silver Hills, you're not just joining a company — you're joining a story. One built on real values, real people, and real bread. 🍞 The same care that goes into every sprouted loaf is the same care that goes into how we show up for our team. As we've grown, so have the people who helped build us — and that's something we don't take for granted. From a family recipe to a team that spans production, logistics, sales, quality, and beyond — we've grown together, and we're proud of every chapter. Here's to the people, the passion, and the purpose that have shaped Silver Hills Bakery into what it is today — and everything still to come. 🙌 #SilverHillsBakery #35Years #SproutedBread #FamilyBusiness

Meet Amelia — the people-first HR professional behind Talent Acquisition at Silver Hills, Carbonaut, and One Degree ✨🌾 As our Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner, Amelia helps connect talented people with meaningful opportunities across our brands. From creating positive candidate experiences, finding people who truly align with our values to partnering with leaders on hiring strategy, her days are built around collaboration and connection. When she's not recruiting, you'll likely find her getting her steps in with her pup, Penne (a dedicated participant in our Step-Up Challenge 🐾), or finding any excuse to get moving and enjoy the outdoors. Building great teams starts with building genuine connections, and Amelia plays a key role in helping our brands grow with the right talent. 🤝💚 If you're looking for your next opportunity with a team that actually means it when they say "people-first" — check out our careers page. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/d-waEf35

This May, our Silver Hills Bakery team laced up their sneakers and showed up for themselves and each other in a big way. 👟💚 We wrapped up our May Step Challenge and couldn't be prouder of the energy, commitment, and friendly competition our team brought all month long! From solo walks in the sunshine to swapping sit-down meetings for fresh-air walking meetings, every step counted. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this challenge was a beautiful reminder that our physical and mental health are deeply connected. We believe a thriving team starts with taking care of the whole person — and watching our team embrace that philosophy has been truly inspiring. 🌿 From the colleagues who motivated each other to get outside, to the friendly rivalries that kept everyone accountable, moments like these are exactly what our culture is made of. 🏆 At Silver Hills Bakery, wellness isn't just a checkbox — it's woven into who we are. We're already looking forward to what's next. 🙌 #SilverHillsBakery #MayStepChallenge #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
