Small businesses are the backbone of Vaughan’s economy, representing more than 87 per cent of all businesses in the city. To celebrate their contributions, the City of Vaughan’s Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre is hosting FREE Small Business Week programming from Monday, Oct. 19 to Friday, Oct. 23 for entrepreneurs, business owners and aspiring founders. This year’s theme is It’s a two-speed world now—fast or finished. We are honoured to have received the Medical Device Development Centre (MDDC) Insight to Innovation Discovery Sprint Award. LIOR was selected in recognition of the unmet clinical need we are working to address and the progress we have made toward a practical solution. Our focus is simple. Bring objective, repeatable pupil assessment closer to the front line, where neurological change needs to be recognized early and clinicians still rely heavily on subjective manual assessment. This recognition reinforces why we started LIOR and why this work matters. Thank you to @Medical Device Development Centre (MDDC) and the Insight to Innovation team for the recognition and support.
