The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is currently developing a strategy on advanced materials and advanced manufacturing in Canada. As part of this effort, we would like to gain a better understanding of the technological and industrial challenges facing Canadian companies. The information collected through this consultation will help guide the mobilization of the NRC’s scientific capabilities to support industrial innovation and Canada’s economic priorities. Your participation will also help inform future research activities based on the real needs of industry. Please note that your individual responses will be used for internal purposes only. We have design talent, fabrication capability, world-class photonics, and real demand from AI, aerospace, automotive, mining and medtech. But the nations that turned semiconductors into economic sovereignty didn't win because of one decisive asset. They coordinated, and they committed for a decade. Resilience isn't something you buy. It's something a system produces.
