Calvin Su liked thisCalvin Su liked thisLeadership isn’t about a big title. It’s in the small, everyday actions that make a lasting impact on the team. 👇 Here are 15 quiet habits that show you're leading the team, not commanding them: 1. You listen to understand, not to reply. 2. You ask for feedback—and act on it. 3. Your team feels safe to speak up. 4. You believe in your team more than they do themselves. 5. You spot burnout early and encourage breaks. 6. You trust the experts you’ve hired. 7. You shield the team from unnecessary stress. 8. You hire help instead of overloading your team. 9. You make every meeting purposeful—or skip it. 10. You nurture talents, not stifle ideas. 11. You invest in your team's growth. 12. You celebrate good work, never take it for granted. 13. You value people over processes. 14. You’re not afraid to hire people smarter than you. 15. You create new leaders, not followers. These habits may seem small, but they build a strong foundation for success. Because only when you care for your employees, will they care for your business. This is the only path that works. ♻️ Grab this Ultimate Cheat Sheet to help more people in your network check which habits they already have and which ones they need to work on. ☝️ Follow Victoria Repa for more insights.

🚚 CARM Requirements for 3PLs: DDU vs. DDP Shipments & Registration—What You Need to Know 🇨🇦 Canada’s CARM program is changing how importers and logistics providers manage compliance. Here’s a quick guide for 3PLs and brands shipping into Canada—whether you use DDU or DDP Incoterms: 1️⃣ Are DDU Shipments Subject to CARM? - Yes—if your client (the brand) is the importer of record, they must register in the CARM Client Portal. - If your 3PL acts as the importer of record, you must register. 2️⃣ Are DDP Shipments Subject to CARM? - Yes—under DDP, the shipper or the 3PL (whoever is paying duties/taxes and clearing customs) is typically the importer of record and must be CARM-registered. - If the brand is still listed as importer of record (rare for DDP), then the brand must register. 3️⃣ Who Needs to Register? - The party listed as the “importer of record” is responsible for CARM registration and compliance. - For DDU, this is usually the brand/consignee. - For DDP, this is usually the 3PL or shipper. Check out the infographic below for a quick visual guide! Would love to hear your experiences or tips—let’s help each other stay compliant! 👇 #Logistics #3PL #CARM #SupplyChain #CanadaCustoms #Compliance

The Canada US border crossed 1.3 billion dollars in trade yesterday. Tariffs or not the freight is moving. The brokers complaining about the tariff situation and the brokers using it as a reason to call new shippers are living in completely different realities right now. Same market. Very different pipelines.

2026 is not the future of eCommerce in Canada. It’s the present. Consumer behavior has changed. Buying decisions start online — even for local businesses. The question is no longer “Should I go online?” It’s “How fast can I build a system that converts?” Smart businesses are investing in: • Optimized Shopify stores • Mobile-first design • Secure checkout systems • Performance-driven strategy If you’re planning to scale this year, your online presence must work as hard as you do. #ShopifyCanada #Ecommerce #CanadaBusiness #DigitalGrowth #SmallBusinessCanada #Entrepreneurship

If you’ve ever shipped liquid beverages across state or provincial lines… you already know. Consumers think shipping should be free. Reality? It might be $40 or $50. The disconnect between what shipping actually costs and what customers think it costs has never been greater. What customers see: A box A label A truck “Free shipping” as the default expectation What producers see: Heavy packages (liquid = weight) Protective inserts Temperature control (think goldilocks) Adult signature requirements (on alc) Carrier surcharges Insurance Breakage risk Returns Volatile and rising fuel and labor costs And in many cases, brands are subsidizing a meaningful portion of the true cost just to keep the customer experience competitive. This isn’t just a beverage issue. It’s a CPG issue. It’s a margin issue. It’s a transparency issue. When I was personally delivering early cases of Partake out of my Toyota Matrix in Toronto, shipping was sweat equity. Today, with containers moving daily across North America, logistics is one of the most strategic (and volatile) lines on the P&L. Here’s the leadership takeaway: If your category involves heavy, fragile, regulated, or temperature-sensitive products, shipping is not a line item. It’s a strategy. You have three choices as I see it: Hide it and compress margin Overcharge and create friction Educate your customer and build trust Because “free shipping” isn’t free. It’s paid for somewhere. Founders/operators how are you handling it right now? Baking it into price? Higher AOV thresholds? Membership or subscription models? Radical transparency? Let’s compare notes. #cpg #founder #operations #ecommerce
