Janine Jurji shared thisI am hiring for a Culinary Product Manager at Fresh Prep 🇨🇦! This role is such a cool role for a PM or aspiring PM that loves food, has good taste (subjective I know), and can guide a team from both a culinary and product management perspective. Have a read of the JD, apply (obviously mention your love of food and why), and feel free to DM me with any Q's. This role is based in Vancouver, BC only. https://lnkd.in/guV-7Skp

Janine Jurji shared thisTurning the page after 4½ unforgettable years. When I joined Later, I couldn’t have imagined the scope of what we’d take on: ✅ Multiple M&As - from Later and Mavrck joining forces to our merger with Mavely ✅ Going from supporting solopreneurs to delivering award-winning campaigns for Fortune 500 brands, and helping creators earn a living ✅ Launching new products, overhauling pricing & packaging, and building optimized customer journeys ✅ Delivering countless GTM plans that started as nothing more than a blank Google Doc But as cliché as it sounds (and yes, I’m doubling down here), the highlight wasn’t the deliverables. It was the people. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some of the smartest, most collaborative, and hardest-working teammates you could ask for. Special thanks to my managers over the years for their trust and guidance; Tim Clarke, Ryan Bonnici, Justin Withers, Sarah Bugeja, Cameron Uganec. And an honorary mention to Jen Sanford - your support has meant more than you know. To the incredible Product Marketing & Lifecycle team — Shannon Croy, Cynthia Lee, Maddy Wilson, Matt Powell, Matthew Ward, Hope Kerby, and the wider PML team, thank you for your creativity, tenacity, and for all the milestones we’ve achieved together. Leading this group has been the most rewarding part of my role. This has truly been a career-defining ride, and I’ll be cheering on Later’s next chapters from the sidelines. More on what’s next for me soon. Stay tuned. #ProductMarketing #Leadership #MarketingStrategy #CareerGrowth #Teamwork #GoToMarket

Janine Jurji posted this👀 You can often tell within the first 5 minutes. We call it gut feel — and often, what we’re really picking up on is alignment: with the team, the role, and the context. And when someone shows up to that first conversation, there are signals you start picking up on right away: > How they carry themselves > How they respond to questions in the moment > Whether they’ve done the work to understand the org — its challenges, priorities, and pace > And if you’re going to work closely together — can you see the collaboration dynamic working? I’ve been part of a lot of interviews and project panels lately — for roles on the product marketing team at Later and across the broader marketing org — and what stands out every time is the project. Every candidate at Later completes one, and they present it to a panel. I wouldn’t hire without it. This is where you see how someone really thinks — how they structure ideas, and the depth of those ideas. > Do they understand the context of our business and team? > Have they gone beyond surface-level feedback and offered tangible, relevant ideas? > When we ask questions, do they catch what we’re signalling — and respond with the right context? > How deeply do they know their domain? How clearly can they explain their thinking? We all know ChatGPT can whip up a deck in no time, but what sets candidates apart is how they engage with the problem, how they make decisions, and how they communicate their reasoning. And especially in more senior roles: how ideas are presented matters. Whether it’s slides, a doc, or a live walkthrough — clear, structured communication is part of the job. The project doesn’t just show the work — it shows the thinking behind the work. Hiring isn’t always instant. But when someone’s the right fit, the signs usually come early. #Hiring #Interviewing #ProductMarketing #MarketingCareers #CareerGrowth #PMM #MarketingLeadership

Janine Jurji posted thisLet’s talk about the strategic gap in Product Marketing. Over the past year, I’ve spoken to so many talented product marketers who’ve told me the same thing: “I feel like I’ve become a project manager.” Not because they want to. Not because they’re not strategic. But because of three persistent dynamics: 📌 Execution overload — The sheer volume of work keeps PMMs in motion, leaving little time to shape strategy or step back from the day-to-day. 📌 Unclear role boundaries — In many orgs, the boundaries of product marketing are fuzzy, and strategy becomes a shared space no one fully claims. 📌 Limited space to challenge upward — Even when PMMs have a strong point of view, it can feel risky to push back on more senior voices. In those conditions, even the most experienced PMMs default to managing deliverables, not driving direction. ✅ Facilitation is a skill. ✅ Cross-functional alignment is essential. But neither should come at the expense of strategic leadership. How have you navigated this balance between strategy and execution? Any lessons, moments, or tactics that helped you claim the driver’s seat? #PMMVoices #ProductMarketing #LeadershipInMarketing #CareerGrowth #MarketingMindset #StrategicThinking

Janine Jurji shared thisI'm not often compelled to share campaign creative, but as a consumer of Polaroid, I am obsessed with their latest brand campaign. There is no question they understand their customer and the role their product plays in our chaotic, screen filled, efficient lives.Janine Jurji shared thisPolaroid's latest OOH campaign won me straight away 📣✨👏🥹 And it's not because it’s loud, it's because it's honest. Let me break this down: ◗It earns attention without fighting for it. This is stripped-back and human in a world of hyper-polished ads and AI-generated everything. The handwritten copy feels intimate, almost like a note you’d stop and read. ◗It mirrors the mindset of its audience. We’re all a bit tired. We're tired of digital perfection, endless scrolling, and being sold to 24/7 (I know I work in social, but I'm also human). This campaign taps into that fatigue and offers something refreshing: presence over performance. ◗It builds emotional equity, not just brand visibility. They’re NOT selling a camera. They’re REMINDING you why you’d want to capture a moment at all. That’s where connection happens. ◗It’s the kind of creative that’s made for social amplification. People don’t just see this on the street - they share it because it speaks to something deeper. It’s marketing that fuels organic reach because it resonates. Let this be your reminder that simplicity can stop people faster than noise ever will 💡 _____ Image credits to: Girl Power Marketing Creative credits to Patricia Varella & team

Janine Jurji posted thisIs consensus killing product marketing? Product marketers are often celebrated for their ability to collaborate — to align stakeholders, bring together cross-functional teams, and build launch plans that thread the needle across Product, Sales, and Marketing. But when alignment replaces direction, product marketing loses its edge. When every decision requires a round of approvals... When every opinion carries equal weight, regardless of context... When the pursuit of consensus overrides conviction... The result isn’t collaboration — it’s dilution. Product marketing isn't just about getting everyone on the same page. It’s about setting the page in the first place. #ProductMarketing #PMM #GoToMarket #MarketingLeadership #CrossFunctional #B2BMarketing #ProductLaunch

Janine Jurji liked thisJanine Jurji liked thisThere's a number in most BESS financial models that's worth a closer look: the capacity the battery is assumed to still hold a decade in. It's easy to plug in a round number and move on. But more often than not we find the assumptions behind it don't hold up. Operational strategy, revenue scheme, maintenance integrity, and importantly, warranty - often lean optimistic, promising smooth, idealized degradation. Many even assume zero capacity loss from day one, ignoring calendar fade. Importantly, a warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it, which is a separate question entirely.
