John Wilson shared thisThe higher you rise as a leader, the less your job is about having all the answers. Early in our careers, we’re rewarded for solving problems ourselves. But great leadership requires a different skill: helping others do their best work. David Singer, President of Thomas, Large & Singer Inc, shares why he now spends more time asking questions, building trust, and creating a culture where people feel valued and supported. A great lesson from the CEO Global Network Podcast. Follow me for more conversations on what it takes to become a better CEO and leader. John Wilson shared thisThe best leaders eventually make parts of their own job redundant. That was one of my biggest takeaways from my conversation with Adam Gordon, President of Gordon’s Downsizing & Estate Services. As Adam explains, you can’t scale yourself. Growth requires trusting people with real responsibility, letting them make mistakes, and coaching them along the way. A great leadership lesson from the CEO Global Network Podcast. Follow me for more conversations and practical lessons for CEOs and executives. John Wilson shared thisChange moves fast. Trust has to move faster. In this clip from the CEO Global Network Podcast, Michelle Micuda, Group Leader & Mentor at CEO Global Network, shares a simple reminder: people can handle a lot of change when they understand why it’s happening and trust the people leading them. Clear communication creates confidence. Stability keeps people grounded. And together, they help teams keep moving forward when everything around them feels uncertain. John Wilson reposted thisJohn Wilson reposted thisWhat has made the biggest difference in developing leaders within your company? Strong organizations don’t just hire great people. They invest in them, they challenge them, and they give them opportunities to grow into stronger leaders. Leadership development isn’t a one-time initiative. It’s an ongoing investment in the people who will shape the future of your organization. #LeadershipDevelopment #FutureLeaders

John Wilson shared thisThe best business decisions often start with one simple question: What does the customer need? On the CEO Global Network Podcast, Michael Polo, President of Hall Telecommunications, shared the questions his team asks before bringing a new product or service to market. Is it simple to install? Simple to use? Does it make the customer more successful? That last question matters most. When you focus on making your customers more effective and valuable to their customers, your own business becomes more valuable too. Follow me for more conversations on leadership, growth, and what makes great CEOs. Drop a comment - I'd love to hear your thoughts!

John Wilson shared thisPressure doesn’t create leadership. It reveals it. On a recent episode of the CEO Global Network Podcast, I spoke with Marcelo Tamaki, Founder and CEO of Red X Carbon, about what happens when technology fails, the stakes are high, and your team is looking to you for direction. His advice was simple: don’t let the pressure control your response. Step back. Collect your thoughts. Stay calm. Then lead. As Founder & CEO of CEO Global Network, I’ve seen how important this is. Your team takes its cues from you, especially when things go wrong. Follow me for more conversations on what it takes to lead at the highest level. 🎧 You can listen to the full Podcast with Marcelo here: https://lnkd.in/eqsuv2yy

John Wilson liked thisJohn Wilson liked thisToday, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we are taking time to listen, learn, and reflect.🧡 Two years ago, Mayhew commissioned Quentin Commanda, also known as Que Rock, to create Anishinaabe 101, a piece that welcomes people as soon as they enter our office. This year, Quentin will be joining us to share the stories and teachings woven into the painting, giving our team the opportunity to better understand the meaning behind the work and the responsibility we have to keep learning. As part of that commitment, we have also created a borrowing library in our office featuring books by Indigenous authors, sourced through GoodMinds. For us, reconciliation is not a single day. It is ongoing learning, respectful relationships, and meaningful action — including reflecting on TRC Call to Action #92 and the role businesses have in education, inclusion, and respect for Indigenous Peoples. Today, and every day, we remain committed to listening, learning, and creating space for stories that matter. #TruthAndReconciliation #OrangeShirtDay #IndigenousArtists #IndigenousArt #MeaningfulDesign

John Wilson liked thisJohn Wilson liked thisAll three of my children played soccer when they were young. Over the years, I attended hundreds of games and practices. I enjoyed each event. Decades later there’s one game that stands out for me. It was the first year of soccer for my son, Chris. He played mini soccer. It’s a smaller field and the goals are marked with orange cones. When you watch the game, you always know where the ball is even if you can’t see it. It’s inside that cluster of five-year-olds as they zig zag around the field. Imagine my excitement when I noticed Chris standing away from the cluster. He was in position to shoot on net. I complimented myself on my advice to him. Suddenly, the ball escaped from the cluster and rolled towards Chris. I immediately reacted. “Chris, get the ball. GET THE Ball!” But Christopher wasn’t looking at the ball. He was staring up in the sky. “What are you doing?” He ignored my jumping and yelling. Then, like a domino effect, every child stopped running and gazed up in the sky. At this point I wondered, “What’s up there? Is it the mother ship?” When I looked up, I saw the most beautiful rainbow I’ve ever seen. It was resplendent in the full spectrum of colors. It stretched across the sky from horizon to horizon. It was magnificent. The referee grasped the situation, blew his whistle, and announced. “Time out. One minute to look at the rainbow.” A minute later he whistled again and the play continued. I don’t remember the score or who won. I do remember that rainbow decades later. Before reading more, review this story and ask yourself, “Why does this work? What techniques might you use when telling your stories?” Here are three tips to get you started with your personal stories. Personal When it’s personal it’s your story. It’s unique. You tell it as if you a reliving the experience. You share a piece of yourself and that connects you with the listener. Visual Tell the story as if you are painting it for them or replaying the video. Make it visual with the words you chose. You want them to see the images. Emotion Reveal your emotions and touch theirs. That’s what moves them and makes it memorable. The situation, your words and your expression convey emotion. There is one key element that is still missing from this story. I’ll reveal that in the next tip when we look at how to structure your stories and use them effectively.

John Wilson liked thisJohn Wilson liked thisKey takeaways… - Amazon is expanding its big & bulky delivery capabilities for sellers. - LTL shipping will be available through Amazon Buy Shipping, with negotiated rates. - Regional pricing will launch in early 2027, allowing sellers to tailor delivery charges by geography. - Amazon is also expanding its local carrier network for same or next day bulky delivery within roughly 100 miles. Bottom line: Amazon is building a more integrated end to end logistics solution for bulky products, increasing competitive pressure on traditional LTL and final mile providers. https://lnkd.in/g7gncskFAmazon rolls out new capabilities for bulky package shippersAmazon rolls out new capabilities for bulky package shippers

John Wilson liked thisJohn Wilson liked thisProf. Alan Patching, Coraggio Chair in Brisbane, shares one of the biggest challenges business owners face as they grow: knowing when to stop trying to do everything themselves. In the early stages, the Founder is often the salesperson, marketer, technical expert, compliance manager and service provider. But that model doesn’t scale. At some point, growth requires taking a calculated risk, investing in the right people and building capability beyond the Founder. The goal is to build a business that doesn’t depend on one person to do everything. #Coraggio #BusinessGrowth #FounderLeadership #ScalingBusiness #BusinessOwners #Leadership
