Kathy Morissette shared this60 days in and I could not be prouder to be part of the Levi's family. From the people, to product, to presentation, to passion, this team has the right to win, and I am so excited to be part of this journey in Canada.Kathy Morissette shared thisOur Quick Qs series is a way to get to know our new and recently promoted leaders at Levi Strauss & Co. Meet Kathy Morissette, our new general manager for Canada, through these quick questions. Welcome, Kathy! 1️⃣ What did you do before joining LS&Co.? I began my career in product design before completing my MBA and transitioning into strategy consulting at Bain & Company. I eventually found my way to retail, where I could combine my creative and analytical strengths, working for Holt Renfrew and most recently Walmart, where I held roles leading e-commerce strategy and driving growth in the marketplace business. 2️⃣ What attracted you to LS&Co.? Levi’s® is an iconic heritage brand that my family and I have worn for years, which really speaks to how the brand has remained relevant across generations — an incredibly difficult and impressive feat. There are very few brands with that kind of universal recognition and affection; it’s rare to meet someone who doesn’t have a connection to Levi’s® in some way. Beyond that, this role is a unique opportunity to bring together the experiences I’ve built over my career and apply them in a way that can drive meaningful impact, helping the business navigate and fuel its next phase of growth. 3️⃣ Do you have a favorite personal story about LS&Co. or one of our products? I grew up in the ’90s grunge era, and I have fond memories hunting for the perfect pair of vintage Levi’s® with my two best friends. I must have owned a dozen pairs back then, and I wish I still owned them, even though there’s no chance they would still fit. 4️⃣ What is your favorite TV show? Survivor. I have only missed one season in 50 seasons. 5️⃣ Where was your favorite vacation? I’ve visited more than 45 countries, but my favorite trip was introducing our four kids to Europe with a trip to Portugal in 2022. 6️⃣ What’s one thing that no one would guess about you? I spent six months backpacking through Africa, living in a small canvas tent for 10 weeks and in a mud hut with no running water or electricity for an additional two months. 7️⃣ List five things that make you happy. • Spending quality time with my family and friends, especially at our cottage • Traveling • Sunshine • Good conversations • Board games 8️⃣ What did you want to be when you were little? An interior designer.

Kathy Morissette reposted thisKathy Morissette reposted thisI love a 501… they’re sexy, practical and can be worn for any occasion, so after a few weeks of sourcing vintage 501 jeans, Saturday night saw thirty of Harry Styles’ dancers taking to stage wearing our iconic fit while he performed his comeback single at The Brit Awards. What a mood. Taking inspiration from his new album – where Harry is also wearing vintage 501 jeans – I’m thrilled to have been a part of bringing this to life with Zoe G. and Adam Firsht. With thanks to Harry Lambert, Naomi Phillips and Ella Bacon in Harry’s styling team, to Zak Maoui for the headline of my dreams and Temar Biratu, Connie Shen and Matt Stone for their support and encouragement too.

Kathy Morissette shared thisThrilled to share that I’ve started a new role as General Manager, Canada at Levi Strauss & Co.. What an incredible time to join — with so much brand heat and momentum across the business. Kicking things off at the Global Leadership Summit last week made it even more energizing. Excited for what’s ahead and to work alongside such a talented team.Kathy Morissette shared thisThe Levi’s® brand has launched “Behind Every Original,” a bold new global campaign celebrating the people who push culture forward — with one cheeky twist. Debuting during one of the biggest sporting moments of the year, the anthem film “Backstory” flips expectations by showcasing celebrity icons and everyday originals exclusively from the backside as they share the Levi’s® backstories that shaped who they are. “Backstory” is directed by Kim Gehrig and features James Brown’s “Get Up Offa That Thing” as the soundtrack to a dynamic cast of Originals, including Grammy-winning Doechii, global superstar Rosé, reigning NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Questlove, Stefanie Giesinger and even Disney-Pixar’s “Toy Story” character Woody. Kathy Morissette shared thisAfter eight truly rewarding years at Walmart, I am moving on and am so grateful for everything I have learned and for the lifelong friendships I have made along the way. I had the chance to be part of - and help lead - a significant period of Marketplace growth. What we accomplished was very much a team effort: scaling the Marketplace, building new capabilities, learning fast, and tackling challenges together. None of this would have been possible without such a talented and dedicated team, and I am so thankful to have been a part of it. One of the most meaningful and rewarding parts of this role for me was supporting people - seeing individuals grow, step into new roles, build confidence over time, and helping guide their development along the way. I am excited about what’s next for me, but I am also genuinely optimistic about where Marketplace is headed. There is more growth ahead, and I will be cheering the team on from the sidelines. Kathy Morissette liked thisKathy Morissette liked thisLast week, I had the privilege of having a fireside chat with Vicky Skelton, Managing Director, EAP, as part of our global Seen & Heard event, a platform that began as a women's summit and has grown into something even more powerful: a global space for belonging, leadership, and meaningful cultural connection. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that belonging is something we've all experienced, both when it's present and when it's missing. We all want to feel seen, heard, valued, and connected. One of my biggest takeaways is that belonging is not just a cultural aspiration. It is created through everyday moments, through listening, curiosity, empathy, and taking the time to make others feel they matter. I'm incredibly grateful to Vicky for sharing her insights, and to the amazing team behind Seen & Heard for creating space for these conversations and giving me the opportunity to be part of it. After 16 years at Levi's, working with people across different countries, cultures, and teams, one thing I've learned is that our differences make us stronger, but it's our sense of belonging that brings out the best in all of us. Because when people feel like they truly belong, they don't just contribute, they thrive. ❤️ #BelongingPowersUs #SeenAndHeard #Leadership #Inclusion #Culture #Levis

I am incredibly grateful to have been part of this journey and even more grateful for the people who made it possible. A special thank you to Heather Robertson Kwok and the entire Trainyards leadership team for their unwavering commitment, energy, and belief in what we were building. Your leadership, resilience, and willingness to go above and beyond created an incredible foundation for success. To Peter Kastanis, our MVM, thank you for being a constant source of support, guidance, and positivity throughout this process. The long days, problem solving, and countless moments of encouragement did not go unnoticed. Your partnership and dedication helped carry this project across the finish line. I also want to recognize and thank our Canadian Leadership Team, Real Estate & Construction teams, NSO team, and Marketing team. Bringing a new store to life takes a village, and your expertise, collaboration, and commitment were instrumental every step of the way. Our grand opening was truly something special. Seeing the community come together and celebrating alongside local artists whose creativity and artistry were showcased throughout the event was a reminder of the impact a store can have beyond its four walls. While I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished together, I am even more excited about what comes next. This store represents new opportunities, new connections, and a new chapter for our team and our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this opening such a success. We spent a lot of time talking with sellers about what growth beyond the U.S. can look like and the opportunity we have across our international marketplaces. Most of all, proud of this team. They showed up, built relationships, and represented our markets incredibly well. Kathy Morissette liked thisKathy Morissette liked thisJust back from an incredible few days at the Walmart U.S. Seller Summit in San Diego! It was a jam-packed event, but what stood out most was the quality of the connections and conversations. I had the opportunity to connect with sellers looking to expand their business to Walmart Marketplace Canada, meet with sellers already live in Canada to talk about how we can accelerate their growth, and spend time with solution providers on how we can work together to enable sellers’ global growth. One of my favourite things about Walmart is the opportunity to work as a truly global team. It was great to continue building relationships with our U.S., China, Mexico and Chile Marketplace teams - sharing wins, challenges, learnings and ideas that can help all of our markets grow stronger together. 🌎 I came back energized by the conversations, the opportunities ahead, and the continued momentum we’re building for Marketplace in Canada. A huge thank you to everyone who connected with us in San Diego! Since then, we've expanded our fleet, strengthened our management team, and increased our brand impact across the province. Building teams has always been my passion, and seeing our leaders and stores grow has been the highlight of this journey. When I accepted this opportunity, I made a commitment to myself: bet on yourself, keep growing, and outperform the leader you were the year before. A year later, I feel both humbled and proud of what we’ve accomplished. None of it happens alone. I'm grateful to the leaders who believed in me, the partners who've supported me, and the incredible team that makes the work FUN every single day. Here's to Year 1. Kathy Morissette liked thisKathy Morissette liked thisToday, our daughter Nora starts kindergarten. Beyond the emotions, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I hope she gets out of school. It’s also made me think about what my dad wanted for me. Growing up, school had a pretty clear scoreboard in our house: Grades. Results. Achievement. Work hard. Do well. Get ahead. He wanted the very best for us. I’m enormously grateful for that. But now, a generation later, I realize I’m hoping for something a little different for Nora. Of course I want her to learn. And I also hope she stays curious. That she raises her hand when she doesn’t know. That she fails at things and tries again. That she discovers what she loves, not just what she’s good at. Much of my professional work at Egon Zehnder today is about helping senior leaders develop at the other end of the journey. It has taught me something too: Not everything that matters can be measured. Curiosity. Engaging with others. Connecting dots creatively in new ways. Finding joy. Asking why. Saying “I don’t know.” Trying again (and again). All of that matters too. Maybe that’s the strange thing about development. We spend years teaching children how to become adults, and then years helping senior leaders rediscover some of what they had as children. Nora, learn everything you can. And hold on fiercely to those things too. Have the best first day. ❤️

Kathy Morissette liked thisKathy Morissette liked thisToday, Gap Inc. shared its second-quarter results, and we announced that in the upcoming weeks I'll be transitioning from my role as President & CEO of Old Navy into an advisory role. Leading Old Navy has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. I'm deeply grateful to the incredible teams - across the field, our DCs, and HQ - who bring so much commitment, creativity, and care to our customers every day. Our second-quarter performance also makes clear that there is more work to do. The team is focused, taking action, and moving quickly, sharpening our priorities and building on what's working. We're continuing our efforts to strengthen key areas of the business - including Active and Knitwear, making Old Navy a true denim destination, and expanding Old Navy Beauty Co. nationwide. We're also leaning into important customer moments, from back-to-school to our exciting new partnership with Fanatics - and with the Holiday season ahead, there is a lot to be excited about. As I look toward this transition, I do so with enormous confidence in the team and the opportunity ahead for Old Navy. I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together in the last four years and grateful for the people who made this chapter so meaningful. Keep bringing the Old Navy magic, leading with heart, and keeping the customer at the center. I look forward to supporting the team through this next chapter.

Thrilled to join Michael LeBlanc on The Voice of Retail Podcast to talk about the ideas behind our new book, The Material Life: Process Innovation for Retailers and Brands. For decades, retail has focused on assortment and experience, while the biggest source of value was hiding in plain sight...the process of HOW products are made. We discuss why materials should lead the creative journey, how silos undermine margin and speed, and why retailers who rethink their product creation model will be the ones who win the next era of growth. Great to be back on the 🎙️ with my fellow and only other Canadian National Retail Federation Top Retail Voice and back on Canada's No.1 retail industry podcast! If you're a brand, merchant, sourcing leader, or innovator exploring AI, materials governance, or digital product creation, this episode offers a playbook for a more profitable, transparent future. 🎧 Tune in and let’s start the conversation: https://lnkd.in/e7HeVwV9 #materialsfirst #retailinnovation #fashion #retailstrategy #merchandising #productcreation #digitaltransformation #supplychain #VoiceOfRetail #processinnovation #NRF #RETHINKRetail #NRFRetailVoice #futureofretail #NRF2026 #RetailVoicesbyNRF #TheMaterialLife
