And it all started with a trip to Fortinos…beautiful Roma tomatoes, fresh basil plants, and even the jar lids I realized at the last minute I still needed! No sauce making day is complete without a good lunch either…our freshly made tortilla chips & dip, Pane Fresco pizza, fresh bread and a few other favourites to keep everyone going. The best part was having the kids involved and sharing a tradition that has been passed down through our family. From Roma tomatoes to the pot to rows of jars and finally, a bowl of pasta with fresh basil. A pretty perfect way to wrap up summer…family, tradition, great food and memories made together. 🍅 🍝

Across 10 stores in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, we’re lowering prices on over 3,000 grocery and fresh products our customers shop for every week! For me, what makes this especially meaningful is that we’re delivering better value while continuing to offer the fresh food, quality and service our customers know us for. That means great prices across the grocery aisles and in fresh — while continuing to deliver the service our customers count on, from our butchers cutting meat in-store and our bakeries making fresh food every day, to a friendly and convenient checkout experience and colleagues who are proud to serve and connect with the communities we call home. Because value shouldn’t have to come with a trade-off. Our customers should be able to get the prices they’re looking for AND the fresh, quality and service they expect from Zehrs. A lot of work has gone into bringing this to life, and I’m incredibly proud of our teams and colleagues who made it happen. Most importantly, I’m excited for our customers in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge to experience it for themselves. Lower prices. The Zehrs experience our customers know and love.
