With the help of the incredible teachers and staff at Mackay, we are able to organize, a few times per year, a date where myself and my quartet come to play music for the kids. We play a mix of classical as well as movie and t.v theme songs and also learn requested songs by the children.
The experience of playing music for the kids of Mackay is one of the most rewarding feelings and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to share this passion of mine with children who are equally excited to experience live music. -

Having had my grandfather live at Maimonides, I would often come to visit him as a child. After he passed, I continued to visit Maimonides and walk the halls meeting different residents. Being a social child, I made many friends and would come to visit them when I could. I started bringing my violin to my visits and playing not only for the person I was going to visit, but whoever happened to be in the lobby or on the floor I was playing on.

This was a great experience and I am so happy to have met some wonderful individuals. When one of the residents I frequently visited, Laurie, passed - I regrettably began to visit less and less.
